>>105597118No matter what you end up doing in the end, it will involve computers. You can't be a hog farmer without computers. If I were you I would understand everything there is to know about disk imaging, OS provisioning and deployment, backups, disaster recovery, cloud exporting/importing/migrating business data, disk crypto, secure boot, private secure boot key management (mok, etc), etc. Be an IT guy who fully understands Linux from the ground up.
The challenges you will face (ransomware, hacks, breaches, provider breaches, insider compromise, etc, etc) are all made much worse with AI coding agents and best remediated by having A+++ backup game for all setups, all data, all cloud data, being able and ready to switch all providers at every level. We're talking you should be able to literally throw away every hardware and software asset and delete/ransom every cloud thing and you're prepared to be back up and running in hours on newly purchased everything. Nobody in IT really has these skills, you'd be shocked how fucked places are when anything besides "need password reset" goes wrong.
