what's the BULL of distros? like the one that benefits from open-source ecosystem fully but contributes back nothing. yet the one that people like to use the most?

That's like saying that Debian with GNOME, KDE or XFCE isn't contributing either for making an ISO with such packages pre-installed.
Both Debian and Fedora contribute a lot to open source.
