4chan needs its own mobile application just like reddit has one.
They could even make it so advertisements appear so it would make them money.
Because from kuroba I'm not seeing any advertisements but the functionality is not up to date.
So 4chan is actively losing money by omitting the release of a mobile application.

In the official 4chan mobile client you won't have thread downloading/high-resolution thumbnails/captcha solver/third-eye etc. You will only get a very barebone app, an analogue of p.4chan.org. Guess why.

We've already determined that the problem is that the latest rollout of Android WebView is jeeted. You have to roll it back to factory settings, get past the cloudflare check and solve a captcha with the Floyd agent applied, then install the latest Webview update manually. It should work fine from then on as long as you aren't a retard and don't have automatic updates enabled.

Chance works kind of. The biggest problem I've seen is that it's a massively bloated battery hog for some reason on Android and the jeet dev can't be assed to fix it because it works fine on his iPhone. He's outright said he CAN fix it, he just doesn't care enough.

I agree but I'm just glad Kuroba seems like a cockroach. No matter what, no matter the fact that it doesn't get updates, it may break for a day or two then come back, or with some small fix.

Honestly, I'm more floored KurobaEX hasn't been forked or that literally none of the other apps match it. The basic usability and UI and options provided in Blue Clover and Kuroba Dev and the like don't even fucking come close, tried to set them up again when EX stumbled last week. I don't get why it's so hard to just port them over and make it prettier and more convenient to navigate. It's frustrating.

Only issue now seems to be posting broke again, so I have to open shit in browsers, but c'est la vie. Better than the browser site or alternatives. Honestly, the biggest annoyance is I don't know what fucking browser extension doesn't fuck shit up these days, either.

The problem is that this hellhole is constantly changing with the sole purpose to fuck shit up so no app can cope with it without serious ongoing maintenance, the day they solve the captcha it changes the next day, the day they solve the Cloudflare bullshit some inconsequential thing gets modified and now is back to being broken, they are simply making this thing unusable so you buy a pass.

Tl;dr: Generally looks and feels better. In small ways, maybe, and if there was a currently developed, up-tp-date, fully functional app that was missing some of those, I'd swallow it and switch. But with the Chance dev making the shit bloated and generally being a bitch, and everything else having equal to or greater than jank, that's why I stick with it. Worked for years and, like I said, it's recency combined with roach nature is appreciable.

The only issue I have with kurobaex is that the app lags on my new phone whenever I close a pic without the back or the close button, I don't know why it happens since I never had that problem with older/weaker devices
Except for this it's perfect, that user agent fix really brought it back to life for me
