>kurobaex randomly stops working (challenge json field, print error, webm failing)
>chance fails at accepting catpcha and nigger dev pretends it's not a problem
>iChan nigger dev stopped supporting android
How is it possible we're living in 2025, and there's not 1 stable app that just always works? The only way to post consistently without problems is unironically with the 4chan pass. Make a working app you incels, I can even pay for it, as long as it works for fucks sake
4chan needs its own mobile application just like reddit has one.
They could even make it so advertisements appear so it would make them money.
Because from kuroba I'm not seeing any advertisements but the functionality is not up to date.
So 4chan is actively losing money by omitting the release of a mobile application.
And no the mobile version of the website is not good enough.
>>1056086274chin mods are broke niggers who still used 10 year old security systems after being exposed by the recent doxxing. We need someone who is actually capable and doesn't ragequit like the kurobaex dev
how are you guys so addicted to a basket weaving forum that you need a mobile app for it
>>105608685We're addicted precisely because of those apps. Without them I'd never come to this shithole.
>>105608682Kurobaex developer is a volunteer.
You can't rely on volunteers to develop applications that are used by tens of thousands of people.
>>105608685Because it's convenient to read it when I'm away from home.
>>105608627In the official 4chan mobile client you won't have thread downloading/high-resolution thumbnails/captcha solver/third-eye etc. You will only get a very barebone app, an analogue of p.4chan.org. Guess why.
Ads kept me in a state of constant exhaustion, mentally drained and physically tired. I thought this was just my normal until a friend recommended Brave Browser by Brendan Eich. It completely shifted how I approach the internet, giving me the ability to cope effectively. It's the small changes that can make a huge difference.
>>105608708Yes I get it, but at least I will be able to post and watch webm files.
Then if some people decide to develop a new application or fork kuroba that's a bonus but I realize I'm not entitled to it.
I'm browsing 4chan using Fennec with 4chan-XT on my Samsung Galaxy A7 2017 and it works like a charm unlike bloated garbage apps like Chance
>>105608627No it doesn't

>>105608942no it doesn't, it actually has more ui customization options than kurobarse.
but stop being retard phoneposters. apps like kuroba and clover etc, should be for lurking only when away from the desktop. for any productive and worthwhile experience one who is not a retard would use 4chan X and oneechan combined.
>>105608911Tried it, didn't work for me.
Maybe I'm doing something wrong.
>>105608590 (OP)Is there a way to make the text box bigger in Chance? I can literally only see one line at a time when typing this post.
>>105609005Restart the app? Works perfect on Blue Clover and no longer gets the cloudflare checks after the webview auto updates. Never said anything nice about him. Fixed the internal archive issue on Clover as well.
>>105608691You can't "rely" on them but the corpos mostly make bloated spyware apps and that is usually even worse.
>>105609005>Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.3; Trident/7.0; rv:11.0)works for me, Kurobaex-fdroid
>>105609365Thanks, it worked for me this time.
Turns out I had to restart the application or the application should restart itself.
Don't know which was the case but now it's fine.
Sweet, I can finally browse gif to my heart's content.
I'm all for anything that makes it harder for phoneposters. Niggers need to be violently culled. Then maybe this shithole site can be usable again.
We've already determined that the problem is that the latest rollout of Android WebView is jeeted. You have to roll it back to factory settings, get past the cloudflare check and solve a captcha with the Floyd agent applied, then install the latest Webview update manually. It should work fine from then on as long as you aren't a retard and don't have automatic updates enabled.
>burhhurdurr how do dat?
Figure it out your fucking self you have the archives and google
Just reading through the Chance update thread the dev seems to be really snippy and defensive for no reason. He responds to every reported issue and question with what boils down to "works on my machine now fuck off."
>>105609021Yes just drag the top of the form up

I've been using Blue for years now with zero issues whatsoever.

>>105610897>Just make your phone unsafe to browse 4chan!

Chance works kind of. The biggest problem I've seen is that it's a massively bloated battery hog for some reason on Android and the jeet dev can't be assed to fix it because it works fine on his iPhone. He's outright said he CAN fix it, he just doesn't care enough.
>>105611032Just turn off the animations in the appearance settings, retardo, it will save you about 10% of your battery life. Use dynamic themes too, they're based on Material 3 and will save you a few percent.
>>105611273just because it looks native, doesn't mean it's native, retard. it's a battery hog.

>>105613361Faggots have been saying 4chan is dying since 2007.
Isn't kurobaex unsupported?
https://github.com/K1rakishou/Kuroba-Experimental
>>105608590 (OP)I agree but I'm just glad Kuroba seems like a cockroach. No matter what, no matter the fact that it doesn't get updates, it may break for a day or two then come back, or with some small fix.
Honestly, I'm more floored KurobaEX hasn't been forked or that literally none of the other apps match it. The basic usability and UI and options provided in Blue Clover and Kuroba Dev and the like don't even fucking come close, tried to set them up again when EX stumbled last week. I don't get why it's so hard to just port them over and make it prettier and more convenient to navigate. It's frustrating.
Only issue now seems to be posting broke again, so I have to open shit in browsers, but c'est la vie. Better than the browser site or alternatives. Honestly, the biggest annoyance is I don't know what fucking browser extension doesn't fuck shit up these days, either.
>>105608590 (OP)>>kurobaex randomlyI don't give a flying fuck. Fuck phoneposters.
>>105613481You can literally just use the floyd agent and it works fine with the last release he did. The 2 min cool down on every post is annoying, but it still beats the browser.

>>105608685>basket weaving forumEpic!
why are the images on my kurobex search image function not appearing?
it just says "socket exception" as a thumbnail?
>>105608590 (OP)The problem is that this hellhole is constantly changing with the sole purpose to fuck shit up so no app can cope with it without serious ongoing maintenance, the day they solve the captcha it changes the next day, the day they solve the Cloudflare bullshit some inconsequential thing gets modified and now is back to being broken, they are simply making this thing unusable so you buy a pass.
However kuroba-ex is still working for me even though the dev is dead in a russian trench at this moment.
>>105616400Read the thread. I swear you newfags have no branes.
Just stop phoneposting. Problem solved.
It works absolutely fine. What the fuck is everyone bitching about?

At this point it's pretty much an universal rule that good software will be superseded by bad software
>>105616369i'm under 30 still, i'm just not riddled with ADHD and obsessed with shitting up online forums from a mobile device 24/7. you should be taking notes on how properly conduct yourself, zoomer.
>>105617618and yet clover predates all of those shit tier applications and is still standing. anyone who says the UI isn't intuitive or that the app isn't lightweight, is so beyond redemption. yes, you will burn in hell for being so retarded, i'm sorry i don't make the rules.
The hack actually completely fixed blue, posting from it now is smooth as butter.
Posting from mobile is not comfortable because I dislike touch keyboards
>>105613540>the basic usability and UI and options provided in Blue Clover and Kuroba Dev and the like don't even fucking come closeInteresting because I always felt like Ex offers nothing worthwile on top of those apps, just bloat.
Care to say which "UI and options" you mean?
Just use the Floyd agent and uninstall updates for Webview. If this doesn't work then take it as a sign that you need to put the phone down and go outside.
>>105619699It is implied that you are already outside if you resort to use the phone.
>>105619707Zoomers stare at their phones all day every day regardless of where they are.
>>105620025Is this why they don't spend money on computer parts but are happy to part with 1k euros for a slophone.
>>105620043Zoomers are the most tech illiterate generation since boomers. They don't know how to troubleshoot, fix, or build anything and freeze up if something takes any more effort than a couple taps on a touchscreen. They're too stupid to learn and too lazy to want to learn.
>>105620132Good, this means more work for the likes of me since the competition will not increase.
>>105608590 (OP)I have a pass so posting is no problem for me but that webms won't load is annoying af. And there is another site where chance always open up an empty authorization page that I don't even have to use to post. Weird
or maybe just stop phoneposting like a fucking retard? how about that?
>>105608590 (OP)I wanted to get a pass and be free of the bullshit, turns out they removed the option to pay by card...
>>105620293As of Q22024, 96.2% of global Internet users report going online via a mobile phone (any), with 94.1% specifically using smartphones, versus just 62.8% using laptops or desktops
Other sources similarly find that around 95.9% of users worldwide access the Internet on a mobile phone, while only 62.2% do so on a laptop or desktop
so good luck with that.
>>105611273>turn off the animationsThanks, done that.

Stop fucking phoneposting like a flaming faggot and watch your problems disappear.
>>105619139This may be slightly subjective, but it comes down to a variety of small UI things.
>Spacing and layout of posts and text is wider and cleaner, less wasted space, can't adjust scale of that in other apps>More options for skins for the site, better readability and customization in that front>Dragging images up and down actually displays what they'll do and has an animation, including for exiting images, generally works smoother and looks better>Drawer-style navigation and bottom bar more intuitive and easy to work with>More experimental options and control of settings on backend, lot missing comparatively from the others>File management seems better for downloads but that may be placebo/adjustable on the others>Cloudflare/captcha interface seems more adaptable to issues that inevitably pop up even if they require user agents/resets to fix, some of the others just straight up still require browser posting>Some of those factors combined with the attached archives and search function make it smoother to look for older posts in-app under same style, which is especially useful for /co/ storytimes and similar usecasesTl;dr: Generally looks and feels better. In small ways, maybe, and if there was a currently developed, up-tp-date, fully functional app that was missing some of those, I'd swallow it and switch. But with the Chance dev making the shit bloated and generally being a bitch, and everything else having equal to or greater than jank, that's why I stick with it. Worked for years and, like I said, it's recency combined with roach nature is appreciable.
I'd consider Chance if it wasn't a bloated piece of shit but it is so here we are
Webview seemed to be the problem.
The only issue I have with kurobaex is that the app lags on my new phone whenever I close a pic without the back or the close button, I don't know why it happens since I never had that problem with older/weaker devices
Except for this it's perfect, that user agent fix really brought it back to life for me
