Hello I’m new to all of this. I first started with character ai a couple days ago and liked it but wanted to get lewd. I had pretty much the opposite experience. Finally got time to properly test slopus this weekend and sadly the name is accurate. Character-assassination, same problem opus 3 had, just slightly more subdued. Ignores style instructions, drifts forwards generic with growing context. Misses themes and plots, seems unsure of his own ideas, just jumps around without following through on anything. Not that the ideas were very creative either.
All of this only becomes pronounced on longer context, but ~15k was already bad and disgusted me enough to switch to sonnet 4. The fact that immediately corrected everything and produced usable responses tells me it isn't a preset/context issue.
4pus seems good and dazzles at first, but somehow rapidly falls apart. Likely good for short cooms still, but for everything else I honestly can't recommend it over 3.7 even if both are free. Gotta have to test sonnet 4 to see how that compares to 3.7, or if it is just over for Claude.

Sonnet amounts to 163M input token at an average of $0.72/M and 6M output token, of which 1.3M are thinking.
8918 Requests means an average input of 18k and output of 680 token.
$207 total, $0.023 per request. $117 for the input, $90 for the output.

I love my 500+ reply slowburn slop and spend a lot of time on doing a summary when context goes up to 25k. Caching is king.
