I'm looking to finally upgrade my S20FE. I mainly use my phone for internet browsing and saving funny memes. Also gacha games (Genshin notably) when the Internet dies or I'm traveling.

Looking at the S25, I can accept the loss of the micro-SD if I go for the 256 GB version (I doubt I can find a 512GB). But I'm worried about battery life, and I also don't want a phone that is noticably bigger or heavier than what I have now (because I want my phone to fit in my pocket like all phones should).

I had the Note 8 Pro back in the day. Great phone. Crazy value for money considering it was sub-250 euro for the 6/128 variant. Modern Redmi Note Pro phones SUCK and are way too expensive. Back in 2019 MIUI was even praised for being feature-rich, while nowadays it's shamed for having ads and bloatware, that's how different the times were.
In 2019 it actually felt reasonable to have a few ads on my phone (that I disabled easily) and the UI to have some chinky quirks like not having an app drawer, in exchange for the amazing battery life, great performance (on par with SD 835), bright 1080p screen (albeit IPS 60hz, but that was the norm for 2019), and so on.
Modern budget phones just have way too many compromises. A friend of mine "upgraded" from the Note 8 Pro to a Note 13 (non-Pro) a year ago and is disappointed how shit the battery, camera and general UI responsiveness/performance are. I myself have long since moved past Redmi Note phones, but I do miss the incredibly battery life. None of my subsequent phones have been able to match it.

Used to go with firefox/fennec but it went to shit for some reason. First it got a bug with audio output, it was all stuttery and weird, big deal since i use browser for youtube. Got fixed, but now pages can fail to load on first try.
Switched to chromium again. But there's only 2 more or less decent options: edge and vivaldi.
Edge has extensions support and there's finally ublock available globally in stable. But i don't really like the ui changes and some telemetry you cant turn off easily. Sticking to vivaldi for now. It's pretty neat, fully functional chromium without breaking tweaks, nice customization options, available for sideloading if you want without .xapk bullshit, honest business politics. The only con is very basic adblocker, but it's getting job done for me.
