NAI is simpler to use, works very well and generally gives you what you want as long as it's anime.
Local is more versatile, you can do complex stuff or mix realistic style with anime, but it requires more work.
And obviously local is free if you have the gpu.

It was siriusxm and I had it change my plan. It seemed like it was the one that changed my plan and it didnt get any confirmation from any humans working there.

Yes, we have this in our company, but the last step is always controlled and done by a human.
Basically the AI does three things :
- filter out low priority or easy to answer stuff
- give a summary of the problem to a human operator in charge of the decision
- if it sounds too complicated or non standard, have it forwarded to a human

I use the AI to write dialogues, I've noticed that the AI (grok and gemini) tends to write dialogues, especially banter, by having the character repeating as a question one of the last words said by the previous character.
One example but basically it always go like this:
