i really wish to use the rat desktop environment (im somehow nostalgic for its default appearance) but it just has a few bugs that i dont experience on cinnamon. ratDE will forever live in my heart and mind

Is the native window manager ever getting Wayland?
Anonymous No.105625253 [Report]
>>105625114
on my pc i would get a black screen where i would have to restart my display manager to recover when my monitors turned off and back on (probably nvidia moment)
the option in display settings to disable a monitor would also lead to an unusable state and i would have to log out and log back in
display scaling was making text blurry
overall ui scaling is less consistent (have to manually apply it to certain applications or set environment variables)
on my laptop my touchpad just stopped working completely after waking from sleep and i had to log out and log back in to fix it, i think it was due to the "disable touchpad while typing" setting

maybe in a year and a half with the next major release. it says on their wayland roadmap that they're still not sure they want to fully switch to it so nobody knows except the devs
personally I don't care if it becomes compatible with wayland, I just want it not to drop xorg/xlibre

Xue is cuter and more sovlful than anything you can throw at it.

Keep the fuck away Tyson Tan, be happy that you got to redesign Konqi. Don't touch Xue.

the reason i'm on kde is because it's the only usable wayland compositor. tried xfce a few times in a vm, and it's really nice. lots of great themes too such as https://github.com/grassmunk/Chicago95
