When the big upgrade comes ~next year, there will be a change in the architecture that makes much more convenient wallets possible while maintaining privacy and security. Until then just sync your wallet more often if you plan to just it.

This takes me back to when Monero was CLI only. I think the changes in seraphis will be an even bigger deal for usability than getting a GUI was. Like I'm sure most people would flat out refuse to try use a CLI but you still need to be a bit autistic to use Monero in its current state.
