Kinda this. I'll dine and dash on any torrent with +10 seeders, but I'll seed with a upload limit of 2.0 MiB/s with anything niche and limit the ratio to 2. Even for downloads I set a limit to 4.0 MiB/s, anything higher i get paranoid about ISPs.

I turn on turtle mode (10 kbps dl/up) and just chill. It seeds 24-7 all day all year.

When I feel like 3rd worldlers need more speed on new releases I put it into 20000 mbps mode on my server.

Usually for rutracker.org bros I go full speed until new version/update drops.

Recently torrented a BD-REMUX Movie with I2P it took couple days (60GB) it was slow but worked no problemo.

get over your social anxiety and get better internet. it's worth it. the speed I have now is amazing and all I had to do was let them install an ONT in a corner of my living room and my speed was faster than my router can handle for less than I was paying before. I ended up upgrading the router but I still need to wait for new routers to come out to take advantage of my actual ISP speed.

When I used to torrent I would always seed for a bit after completion (like for an hour or so) but I would inevitably need to exit my torrent software and VPN for reasons. The thing is I would only torrent obscure shit so there were always more seeders than leechers so it's not like my seeding did much.

If you need space and not speed, get a 8TB HDD. You can go on pcpartpicker and sort by lowest Price / GB to get an idea of what to buy.
If you need speed, get at least 2TB. It's the sweet spot right now for best value. Last I looked, TEAMGROUP MP44 is the best value, though you should do your own research.
