It's honestly hard for me to believe that people give a fuck about what someone says who doesn't have any connection to something.
We're talking about a porn star's opinion on AI.
I don't ask the mailman for programming advice. I don't ask a chef how he would run a country. Why focus on what outsiders have to say about something.

AI fatigue.
Ads everywhere about AI. So much that in my cunt there's a Samsung ad mocking the overuse of that fucking word, ironically enough.
At work, they ask you to use AI or to learn what you can do with AI or they want to replace you with AI. Do you want AI employees? Here's how we can help your small business with AI.
AI powered devices. AI games. Frame generation through AI. Neural networks. AI music. Look it's more garbage power metal. AI image and video generation. Sadeem made a whole movie in AI. You loved that ghibli art style? Well AI made it so easy to use that, that now everyone uses it, so now it's shit because you know that 99.9999% of images with that style are AI generated. Artists seething continuously, ceaselessly. You want to watch a video on youtube, it detects your region and AI dubs it for you with an ear piercing robotic female voice. A picture you took was a little bit shaky, lemme AI that for you! Rather than study and do my own research, lemme just ask chatgpt everything! How do you know the person you're talking to on the internet isn't just another bot? Maybe the entire fucking network is.

Why wouldn't the normalfag hate it? I don't particularly give a fuck about this stupid hole and her opinions on AI. But tell me /g/ why wouldn't more and more people dislike it? Everyone is stupidly, desperately trying to sell it. The desperation reeks.

desu i disagree

i think its more like old people were never brought up with the kind of sentiment that they need to know how shit works or they will be unemployed and retarded. a lot of them just got jobs doing some menial shit and built a life off of it. why would they need to know how internet works when they already have all they need? in a sense they're right too, since they don't really need the internet to live their lives. but for millenials it was never really an option, either you learned to use the internet or you will have no job and no friends

AI is kind of a weird case because it seems like a novelty to people who don't really need it, and absolutely life changing for people who are bad at a lot of cognitive tasks. i think old people should like AI because it works more intuitively than google does. for them its like they got their nephew right next to them, ready to answer all their inane questions about computers

In the court of opinions, the eye of the beholder holds the judgement over value of each and every opinion. And every free individual has their own value judgement that differs from every other free persons. But you already knew that, but may not accept that because, as you might have guessed it. Bug programming doesn't allow it.

well i was originally say that the current old people are just kinda retarded because they lived in a low expectations society, thats why they dont care about learning anything new, and that millenials won't be the same because of high expectations. but i felt that was too reductive. i think millenials are fundamentally different and when they get old they will be much more open to new things than current old people

>The desperation reeks.
Yep. That's why they support it. Ad spam is enough to convince the normies of what normal is, and they parrot the ads to feel like they fit in because everyone is in reality very alienated from each other thanks to cars and the internet and its echo chambers and thus any conversion is a life ruining fight waiting to happen so reconciliation is not possible because it means compromising with the enemy. So people will do anything that makes them feel like they fit in.
On the other hand it's impossible to know what the average person REALLY thinks. Advertisers have a monopoly on that information and are paid loads of money to change what everyone thinks the average person is like.

i fucking love it, my favorite gemini exploit was telling it to justify the axiom of choice as the motivation for ZF such that it 1) searched for the definition of the axiom of choice 2) rejected "it's non-constructive" as, well, tautological and thus insufficient, 3|1) started a search for the definition of the axiom of choice.
This ended after ~16 round trips because the search query somehow broke the "think deeply" nesting layer and fed back into itself such that gemini kept throwing the same ~200k tokens at me between search requests to tell me that ZF needs choice etc etc pp.

It was very entertaining.

The problem is in some cases even this isn't accessible enough for those people.
Take image generation for instance, I know it's a funny meme for people who know prompts to be regarded as "AI experts" or whatever, but most people won't get the exact result they want because they can barely get there.
God love her, but my friend struggles with education and I had to give her quite a few hints on how to use any of these tools. It's supposed to be for dumb people, but some of these people can't formulate a proper question to begin with.

It's the same concept that politicians today use when they try to build an image of themselves "being connected with their roots" and of "listening to the small man". I'm not saying it's absolute and that none ever did, only that it was never even remotely normalized.

It has always been a very popular notion to be "the good, wise ruler" who listens to his subjects. That is not any different today than it was before. It's just that the internet makes it significantly harder to single handedly rewrite history.
