Yes but result is superior. More steps, the better (up to 50 I'd say). Also samplers matter. Dpm_2 and heun > others, but it's a tad bit slower. For photoreal gens, euler is not as good as res multistep or dpmpp 2m.

My guess is that all the 1 megapixel models are cheating a bit to make their datasets larger by including a lot of images that aren't natively 1 megapixel and have been upscaled from something lower. So the reason 1024 models all output images that look a bit soft, like upscales, is that they've seen a lot of images like that.

yeah I use a sharpener as the final step in my pipeline but it's easy to destroy the image, see the one on the right lol. G'MIC inverse diffusion sharpener via krita was how I used to do it but now I do it directly in the upscaling process via smart sharpener. but again, need to be careful.

Hey I'm using the wan2.1guide but I'm OOMing if I add a LORA even though I'm on a h100. I had trouble getting the right node to load the model, since I couldn't find it

It wanted UnetLoaderGGUFDisTorchMultiGPU but I could not find that instead I am using UNETLoaderMultiGPU.

Don't use ai-toolkit to train a Chroma LoRA.
There's something seriously wrong with the training script and the results are the worst I've ever seen for a LoRA. The same dataset that gave me perfect results for a flux LoRA looks like liquid shit using ai-toolkit with Chroma.
Other people have reported the same thing.
The only viable current option is diffusion-pipe.

It was a person on my end, only the likeness was so far off, it was laughable. When I did it on flux, the results were 1-to-1 and nearly indistinguishable from the actual person.

To think about it, if BFL went out of their way of "helping" someone to release a model that competes with theirs directly, they either:

1 - Gave up making new T2I models
2 - Have something better in the works (Flux 2?)

The work they did on Flux Kontext is truly remarkable, getting a decent image instruction dataset is not easy, and from my tests, that model is superior to gpt4o and gemini for image editing in every single way. So they likely spent the last 6 months or so building datasets and working on their (dead on arrival) video model

The co-owner of Krea is buddies with the guy who runs BFL. By 'help', they gave krea access to their hardware and their training workflows. They had to pay for the hardware, but BFL gave them a hefty discount. Krea shared their dataset with BFL though. That was the real price.

Also, the model itself is a completely new foundational model, it has no relation to flux at all, and there's no licensing restrictions between BFL and krea. It's krea's model.

They're not pulling enough users. I know that much. It's hard to get interest in an already over saturated generative AI marketplace unless what you're offering is truly something special. Krea's model is very creative, but it's not cutting edge, there's nothing there that will make users switch from competition like Midjourney.

So weigh the options. Keep renting expensive hardware to run your models when nobody is really biting, or open-source and build name recognition that way, like Stability AI and BFL did, reserving the right to close-source future models once you've got a brand.

The perfect model for both model makers and community is AGPL.
Open source community has all the freedom it wants, while AGPL effectively prevents third party from monetization by providing API for it, so that the model maker can host exclusive API for monetization on poorfags who can't afford GPUs. Win-win.

Pretty sure SD1.4 would have cost around 1-2M, not 10M, the 10M figure was based on the raw compute cost for 4k a100 clusters, but they would have 100% negotiated cloud provider discounts. You could train a comparable model today for less than 50k given more efficient GPUs (H100 vs A100), optimized training pipelines, cheaper cloud compute, etc.
