How do you cool the back of your gpu?
>>105651183>Dlss is more widespreadFSR 4 via optiscaler works in most games even nvidia tech demos like alan wake 2, cyberpunk, black myth wukong etc.
Daniel Owen even made a video about it.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vEcESQhJVfE
The common man doesn't have to pay the ngreedia tax anymore to get an upscaler with good image quality. RDNA 4 chads will be modding FSR 4 into all your sponsored nvidia exclusive games and there is nothing you can do about it nvidiot.
Open source modding won. RDNA 4 won. Radeon won. AMD won. Jack Huynh

>>105651328Just leave everything default pretty much and you can try some of the features and decide if you like it but most of it is a meme.
These are some notable ones in the gaming graphics tab you may or may not want to use
Radeon image sharpening can be nice and make games look a bit sharper obviously
AFMF 2.1 is framegen but I'd only use it if there is no in-game framegen
Anti lag reduces latency a little bit but only in gpu bound scenarios
Radeon chill is dumb if you use it the way it's explained but if you set the minimum and max fps to the same value it will work as an fps cap
Enhanced Sync let's you run games at fps higher than your monitors refresh rate to get the reduced latency and input lag benefit without screeb tearing, useful perhaps if you tryhard esports slop like valorant or whatever garbage and want every advantage you can get.
If you have a 9000 series gpu you'll also have the option to override fsr4 into approved fsr3.1 games here that are on the compatibility list, this list also has the games that support anti lag 2 (there are not many) which is better than normal anti lag in the adrenalin software and you should use it instead.
https://community.amd.com/t5/gaming-discussions/latest-amd-fsr-2-3-4-amp-radeon-anti-lag-2-supported-games-list/m-p/549534
Adrenalin let's you make game profiles so you can have these enabled on a per game basis for the ones where you like using them and not in the ones you don't.

>>105651721>>105651721I have this ram and it sucks. They use the shittiest fail bins and it's terrible for oc and tuning. Definetly not worth almost 70 dollars in 2025. You can probably find that kit used on Facebook marketplace or a better kit even for cheaper.

>>105651781>Yeah, i know. But will it work fine?Probably not, just buy some used set of green sticks on ebay running at 2666mhz. Much more fitting.
always buying intel/nivida
it just works
simple as
>>105651721The board's official memory support lists 2666MHz with a caveat (XMP can run on 8th gen CPU).
No harm in buying a 3200MT/s XMP profile kit. If XMP doesn't work or is unstable, you can disable it and run it at the 2666 JEDEC/stock speed.
But I would not pay a premium for that kit when the same spec DIMM is available for $50.

Klevv is a reputable kit manufacturer, they are owned by the memory chip manufacturer SK Hynix.
It's like Micron owning the Crucial brand.
Your CPU can run 3200MT/s btw.

>>105651829Thanks a lot for answer. One last thing, if i still go with Corsair Vengeance LPX . Would it work fine without issues? Asking due to timing of it 16-20-20-38
>>105651856My bad, that post recommended a 3600MT/s Klevv kit, don't get that.
Get this PNY CL16 3200MT/s.
https://pcpartpicker.com/product/HRG2FT/pny-xlr8-gaming-low-profile-32-gb-2-x-16-gb-ddr4-3200-cl16-memory-md32gk2d4320016lp
PNY is a reliable brand, they sell workstation/data center hardware too.
The uncertainty is your motherboard, but that board's QVL shows it can supply 1.35V to the memory modules so it will depend on how restrictive the rest of the BIOS is.
The 2666MT/s JEDEC kits on Amazon cost like $45, so it's better to gamble on this XMP kit. Worst case you overpaid by $5.
thoughts on GIGABYTE B850 EAGLE?
>>105651914PNY, huh? Never used that brand before. Interesting. Also so many buy and even Amazon recommends that Corsair one?
>>105651725You should buy a 5070 Ti and surprisingly realize that you don't need more.
>buying cpus before AVX10.2 APX
>>105651945Because Corsair is a popular normie brand, it doesn't mean anything in terms of QA.
PNY is trustworthy enough to be NVIDIA's data center hardware partner.
Samsung, SK Hynix, Micron, and CXMT are the ones making the actual memory chips in these modules.
Most memory brands are just contracting an OEM in Taiwan or China to build their memory kit designs.
I believe GSkill is one of the few memory brands with its production facilities.
I want to install a WD Black SN850 and it has a heatsink. Should I use that one or remove and use the one from my mobo?
>>105651993Speaking of Corsair again . I heard Corsair's Patriot Viper Steel are good.
>>105651894should be ok, though just stick to mATX or ATX if you're not traveling much
>>105651960i'm still on a 3080
>>105651832 with no reason to upgrade after almost 4 years. it's more powerful than a ps5 pro and way more powerful than a ps5/xbox so it's aged extremely well. dlss and all the nvidia tools like reflex really make gaming a breeze even at 4k. a 5070ti will last at least another 5 years even at 4k.
>>105651914What low profile means here in name by the way?
>>105651894Be *very* careful with that you buy and try to put into it, because you'll run into unexpected fitting issues.
For example, Arctic coolers are a no-go most of the time because the height of the radiator usually doesn't leave enough space for mothervoard heat spreaders, or sometimes even the ram. Most tower fan coolers shouldn't lrese t this problem, it's just AIO's you have to be careful for.
Make sure the graphics card will fit length-wise into the build. Also if you plan to put bottom fans in the case or have a HDD, then the GPU slot placement on the mobo will come into play since you'll need to make sure there's even clearance at the bottom.
>>105652024It just means the memory sticks have a relatively lower height compared to other XMP kits out in the market.
Memory kit height matters if you have a massive CPU cooler heatsink.
>>105652039Ah. Low profile name makes sense then
>>105651938Would not pay full price for it, but it's discounted to $140 in Newegg atm.
Good value in that discount.
>>105652037Also on this, it'd recommend checking out build pictures on PC part picker since it'll highlight potential problems. Here's a some examples of how tight the fit can end up being:

noob here, should I be concerned if my 13700 (non-k) occasionally has a spike to 88-90c? It averages about 70c under load and 28-30c idle, but once in a while when I'm playing demanding games it jumps to 88-90c for only a second or two and then immediately drops back down. this only happens maybe once an hour, I assume when big assets are loading or something

>>105656976Use the spec filters on PCPartPicker, B650/E and X670/E boards should be considered if youโre searching for deals.
You just have to use the BIOS flashback feature to make them work with the 9700X if you need to.

Can you recommend me a good high dpi mouse that won't die or malfunction in 6 months? I've already gone through 3 g502s and 1 deathadder v3 all with double clicking and frail cable issues
At this point I just want a top tier sensor in a reliable chassis

After sitting in my ass with my Rtx1060 for a decade, I began to build a new PC. So far, I have the AMD Ryzen 7 5700X 3.4 GHz 8-Core Processor and a Sapphire PULSE Radeon RX 9060 XT 16 GB Video Card. No idea if it's a good investment for mid-range gaming for a few years in 1080p.
>>105657311>double clickingTo fix double clicking you need to oil the micro switchers. Thats it.
Im using this overcomplicated chinese mouse i repaired it a lot and destroyed copper lines on the mouse board, its a real wire mess now but it still working.

>February 25, 2025 at 9:02 AM EST>Micron Announces Shipment of 1ฮณ (1-gamma) DRAM: Pioneering Memory Technology Advancements for Future Compute Needs>BOISE, Idaho, Feb. 25, 2025 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Micron Technology, Inc. (Nasdaq: MU), today announced it is the first in the industry to ship samples of its 1ฮณ (1-gamma), sixth-generation (10nm-class) DRAM node-based DDR5 memory designed for next-generation CPUs to ecosystem partners and select customers.>Improved bit-density output โ Micronโs 1ฮณ node, leveraging EUV lithography, design optimizations and process innovations, results in greater than 30% more bits-per-wafer output over the previous generation3 and the ability to scale memory supply efficiently.https://investors.micron.com/news-releases/news-release-details/micron-announces-shipment-1g-1-gamma-dram-pioneering-memory
DRAM stores data in highly dense capacitors, the transistors in these capacitors are different from the logic transistors in CPUs & GPUs.
It's very difficult to apply the high aspect ratio trench etching needed to make those DRAM capacitors at lower geometries.

thinking about upgrading. i havent bought a dedicated video card since duke nukem 3d. havent been much of a gamer. whats the safest place to get a used gpu?
also is the xfx swift a good brand?
>>105657614eBay because they got buyer protection. Give me a budget and I can show you some examples of cards worth bidding.
Try to avoid RTX 3070Ti, 3080/Ti, and 3090.
These cards could've been heavily mined and the VRAM isn't adequately cooled for mining.
3080/Ti and 3090 also have a vulnerable power delivery design, you'll find posts of them randomly dying almost every month.
3090Ti is safer due to design improvements and using denser memory chips, but they are relatively expensive.
>>105657652>also is the xfx swift a good brand? It's XFX's entry-level model, these cards might run loud for having thinner coolers.
Nothing technically wrong with the card.
I am getting a memory kit build a new PC on AM5 i got a deal that is 6000mhz cl38 ram. The other option is an Ripjaw kit with CL30 same speed on amazon, The ram is chinese but i don't really care because it is the same brand of the ram that i am using RN. Do i get the CL30 or the 38? one is 40 bucks(using BRL conversion 5.5 X 1.6 X Price) and the other one is 80 bucks
>>105657610they aren't like the same price on amazon? PS120 is a bit better.
>>105657670>Get the CL38 6000MT/s because the CL30's performance improvement won't justify the premium.>Get the costlier CL30 kit because you don't get to build a new PC very often, so treat yourself to the better part.Your choice.

>>105657720if the 9060 is a good card id buy that new.
>>105657714Looks like the best you can get (if you're extremely lucky) is a used RTX 4070/Ti (12GB) or a 7800XT, but the active listings for RTX cards are all overpriced.

This active listing will probably end at above $500, not worth it. Just sharing it as a reference.
Bid on items with unique product images. Watch out for "Parts Only" listings, these are broken cards.
You might as well consider a new 9060XT (16GB) or a 5060Ti (16GB).
