The problem with zoomers is they were raised in the zoomer generation, where safety > freedom. It's not their fault, they were simply raised to lick the boot and now can't even see their own chains. If freed from them, their question isn't how to live without chains, it's what kind of chains should they wear next.
Don't believe me? Here's their CoC:

>Be respectful of other people, respectfully ask people to stop if you are bothered, and if you can't resolve an issue, contact staff. If you are being a problem, it will be apparent and you'll be asked to leave.>IndieWeb spaces are an inclusive environment, based on treating all individuals respectfully, regardless of gender (including transgender status), sexual orientation, age, disability, medical conditions, race and/or ethnicity, caste, nationality, religion (or lack thereof), physical appearance, politics, ideology (real world or tech), or software preferences.>We value respectful behavior above individual opinions. You know why the old internet was good? Because it was humanity unfiltered, and humanity isn't inherently respectful. Respect is earned, not mandated. There wasn't a single fucking website on the old internet that demanded you respect every person there. This is a modern, Gen-Z and Gen-Alpha mindset that you are owed respect for existing and powerful all-seeing moderators will judge you for respectfulness instead of determining if you're breaking a code of ethics. NOBODY was respectful on the old internet by default. It had the worst arguments ever.
That's why it was good. That's why it was human. This has failed before it even started.
