>>105661019>A hammer cannot replace a human beings need for thinking or doing. The saying, "When the only tool you have is a hammer, everything looks like a nail", is not purely figurative.
Like a hammer, the AI doesn't replace all your other tools, mental or physical, and if you try to make it do so, you're going to make yourself look like a fool sooner or later. Learn to use it effectively and it can be helpful. Try to use it for everything and you're going to hurt yourself.
>>105661025It's an empty market segment that enough people aren't wary of yet, and scammers can make a quick buck selling low quality crap that anyone can generate for themselves for free and then probably wish they hadn't later. Soon enough people will wise up and either learn to avoid the slop, or go someplace else where they can talk to each other again.
>>105661062>Why would anyone pay money to use an AI if it can't even do the work I'm asking it to do itself?Same reason people would pay for a saw that doesn't tell them where to cut the boards. It's a tool that makes the task easier than doing it all yourself. Yes you can just copy-paste the AI's output and call it your own, but any major or subtle fuckups in that work now have your name signed to them.
>Why wouldn't I just go pay a personYou can do that too, and should if you want a complete "just do it all for me" experience. You'll discover that it costs way more than a ChatGPT subscription though.
