Every single laptop is trash.
Low power devices with performance of desktops from 10 years ago.
They cost more than modern desktop that outperforms them.
Battery life that didn't improve at all (apart from ARM devices, but software there is limited)
Soldered parts that cannot be replaced.
Low quality build materials, awful keyboards, zero serviceability - just buy a new one faggot.
Currently it's more sensible to just own a desktop and a smartphone.

Just get one that is good enough and use it for basic tasks, like university studies, work, and browsing.

I had an 8gb kit which is the most it will support but one of the 4s got smoked like a week before the LAN party so I dropped a 2 in it.

They're DDR2 SODIMMs they are fairly rare in the real world where people touch grass so I have to wait for my matched kit to show up, 6gb is plenty for W7 though and I'm not going over 40 percent usage like ever so it's okay.

Is it worth buying an M4 Air 24GB RAM if you have an M1 Pro 16GB? Had it for four years and am thinking of it.
