Why are normies so fan of Samsung?
It's the brand that has the most amount of bloatware preinstalled, only surpassed by Xiaomi and Vivo, yet normies seem to think it's the best Android Phones.
Even the S25 (picrel) comes with bloatware.
Why?

Clearly Pixel, Motorola, OnePlus and Sony are superior in this aspect.

Am I forgetting to mention something?
What are the phones with the most and with the least bloatware preinstalled that you know of?

I know. And it's possible way before that, I have an android 9 and I uninstalled a lot of stuff with ADB.

> plain just stop and don't use an app you dont like.
They run in the background. And most of them can't be disabled.

Like what? some stuff are essential, but still can be removed (but you risk damaging the system)

I have most of these uninstalled (except Calendar), you can easily uninstall them with ADB.
You just need to enable debugging in your phone, install ADB on Windows, connect it and run the shell command to uninstall them.

The only apps I kept on my phone was:
calendar, camera, clock, contacts, files, fm radio, gmail, messages, phone, play store and settings. Everything else is uninstalled with ADB

Because the ad said it was the best. Well, either that or Apple, but they're not homosexual or black, so they chose Samsung.

Yeah, Google Play Services is essential. I also kept Gboard (google keyboard app), which I forgot to mention.

One thing that you may want to keep if you use Samsung is the Galaxy Store, as some of the Samsung apps require it to update (like the Samsung keyboard).

Just old habits die hard. All phones that come with Meta or Microsoft apps preinstalled are non choice for me even if adb can uninstall any apps. Google Pixel should claim flagship and leadership for Android phones instead of being carried by a third party such as Samsung or Xiaomi.

Maybe my S23 has more "bloat" than my old OP 7 Pro but most of the stuff on my S23, even after the crap OneUI 7 update, is useful and the device is still more customizable while my OnePlus became a rabid piece of dogshit after Android 11. I cannot express just how bad that update was, it still makes me sick.
I got a little bit scared when Samsung released this last update because I don't want the same thing to happen with Samsung phones.

Well, if you decide to not go for Apple, either because you can't afford it, or you simply don't like Apple, there are few non Chinese options, so Samsung wins a lot of people over by that alone, also they have a ton of options in their lineup, which do offer great hardware for the prices they charge, and with long term OS support, something most brands besides Apple fail to do.

>Bloat
I know it sucks, but uninstalling it isn't too much trouble.

This will be the last time ill use a Samsung phone. Once this phone died ill switch to some other brand.

Last night my phone is at 100% and I go to bed. I wake up next morning and the battery is at 68%.

The worse thing about this whole thing is that the battery usage in the app list don't match up and there's like 20% of the battery usage missing and unexplained. I expect some Samsung fuckary happening. It's such a sus thing the the phone just lost 32% of its battery while Im sleeping, and without disclosing what is causing such a high battery usage.

Why would you use the stock ROM?
Every Android phone I've used has either CyanogenMod or LineageOS installed on it (without GApps). One of my requirements for when I'm looking for new phones is that it must have official LineageOS support (with working VoLTE/IMS, so Samsung is not an option).
For the past 8 years I've been using Motorola phones, they're pretty good.

I have a coworker that's decided to switch to Android after getting envious that my Β£100 Motorola has stuff like Tubular and Stremio while he's paying for YouTube Premium and a bunch of streaming subscriptions which aren't even as good. His first thought is that he MUST get an expensive Samsung though.

My current daily driver is an S24U and I debloated it using ADB. Yes, Samsung stock firmware is bloated but the main problem is duplicated Google/Samsung system apps and some shit like Global Goals. My main reason for debloating is to remove programs like Meta App Manager baked into the ROM. I don't trust Zuckerberg, nor do I use any kind of social media, so I get rid of this shit when I set up the phone out of the box. There are plenty of guides and software if you don't know how to use ADB to debloat any Android manufacturer's phones.

With GrapheneOS you can install only the apps that you need.
The only thing you are not able to use with GrapheneOS is Google Pay/Wallet.
Everything else works if you choose to also install Google Play Services.

I just got a new Samsung budget smartphone, relatively cheap, 8GB RAM, 256GB storage, micro SD slot, headphone jack, years of OS and security updates, One UI 7.0, 120Hz refresh rate, the only downside is the waterdrop notch, big bezels and preinstalled apps, but I just uninstall those to keep only the apps I use, which is quick and easy to do, then dark mode makes the waterdrop notch not an issue as it barely appears and isn't much of an issue, same for the bezels. Samsung is just good, nothing more to it.
