Not true. The AI animu porn I generate has more soul than the vast majority of human-made slop I've coomed to.

As far as programming goes AI is really helpful as a substitute for anything you would look up on Google.
But it can't replace an experienced developer in a real project due to several reasons.

It lacks knowledge about the business domain and about the code base.
The requirements are often vague. You need to make sense of them or ask for clarifications.
That's a double whammy because AI happens to be horrible at rejecting the framing of the prompt, so it will just puke out anything.
Often you also need to just work on the problem to understand it well enough to conceptualize a solution.
Finally there's a lot of details you need to get right. The compiler is unforgiving. It's just less work to do it yourself than to proompt until the AI gets it right.
That's just off the top of my head.

Nothing ever happens. No AI actually cares about the truthfulness of their statements while a programmer cannot ignore if their code doesn't compile.
