I just bought a laptop for school that has 32 GB RAM and a 128mb dedicated Graphics card with an i7 processor, how fucked am I for gaming?

I'll mostly be using it for studying and netflix but I always wondered does the RAM compensate for the graphics card and can I boost it by dedicating RAM to the graphics card through altering the system settings...

They haven't made dedicated graphics cards with 128 MB of VRAM for... I want to say almost 20 years at this point.

Yeah there's no way you have 128MB VRAM, it's probably 512, and yes you are screwed for gaming with that amount. An external GPU is probably not going to be possible for you, and you should do what every person in the world does: save up money and build/buy yourself a proper Desktop system

Lol I just did some more research and 32gb ram is sufficient because vram just offloads from the ram when it's overloaded with tasks.

Its a windows 11 pro that I picked up for 250 bucks haha

I just got out of hospital after being there for 7 years with inpatient and outpatient care for internal bleeding and organ failure so im really behind right now in wtf computers can do right now

Forget gaming. you will get at most 30 FPS with high graphics.
Games use a lot of GPU. Unless you plan to play 2d gamed like Rimworld or games on low quality.

I can dedicate 3 gb of RAM to Vram and boost the little niglet to full power through system commands.

It will still be extremely slow. Don't get your hopes up. GPUs sell like crazy for a reason.

There's a reason we have VRAM in the first place, you're about to find it for yourself.

Don't worry I'll be gentle and dedicate my RAM delicately.

It will just be slower when streaming movies.
