This isn't just an accessibility issue. The shit from the initial announcement and beta 1 was absolutely unusable in a lot of situations, even for people with normal eyesight. Even some of the promo screenshots from Apple's own announcement page didn't manage to hide it (pic related, and it's not even the worst one).
It was basically a coin flip whether a given panel/menu would be readable depending on what was behind it.
This is only beta 2 though, there'll be a few more rounds of adjustments until release, so maybe they'll manage to bring back some of those effects, but it for sure won't be like in beta 1.
