It's called saving money by using cheap parts and is a stable to Nintendo's hw design philosophy.

Worse than a high-end LCD monitor from 2002. I'm actually impressed at how shit that panel is.

No, I do not, Mr. Schizo-kun. In fact they never talk about Nintendo on their channel in any way (aside from the current screen controversy)

I thought the point was being not bored when your parents drag you around on hour+ long car rides (the real game is trying to play a game you can only see every time a street light is overhead).

that too but just as if by magic it turns out getting owned by puyo pop at 8pm on the back of your dad's truck as it went by the highway making do with a little lantern also made for, at least when it comes to electronics and input-output delays, the peak of the gaming experience

Its not the screen, difference between the slowest and fastest lcd panels is negligible as far as latency goes.

its probably the software.

When your audience is either children who don't know any better or pic related, why bother? You can save big on the panel and they'll buy it anyway.

Cost cutting for the kids toy console is not surprising. I'm genuinely surprised though how they managed 33ms of response time from a panel produced in the present year. 120Hz no less, lmao.

>How are screens like the switch2's even a thing in 2025?
retards will buy the slop anyways so why bother using good hardware, nintendo is right to dunk on them.
also the switch 1 SoC at launch was 2 years old, the switch 2 SoC is already 4 year old today and the console is not even out for one month.
it's crazy how this garbage company can scam them repeatedly and morons will come back asking for more, 10yo me was fed up with their nonsense 20 years ago, I don't understand how adults can still fall for the same slop year after year...
