Remap ctrl to capslock, even bigger key and it's a more comfortable position if you use it frequently.

it's absolutely not. I had to work on a company issue macbook in 2018 and it gave me severe carpal tunnel within weeks. I have not had that issue before or since, since using a proper keyboard

If you are a human with elbows and shoulders, you can use 10 fingers, while also being capable of shifting your hand down.
With the normal keyboard layout, this results in muscle memory that expects ctrl to be on the far left corner, which makes the Lenovo layout a pain in the ass.

Well for one, my T470s has easily the nicest keyboard of any laptop I've ever used. The keys are soft around the corners, which makes my high speed zoomer peck and search typing not hurt to do, and the keys are nice and tactile enough to feel good to type on if you're used to dome keyboards. It's surprisingly nice for playing video games on as well because of this.
Second of all, why the hell would I put a whole ass second keyboard in my lap with my tiny S ThinkPad when I'm sitting in bed playing Balatro, or on the couch or in a recliner watching YouTube or tinkering with it? I take it that you don't have a full desktop, do you anon?

I use a keychrome K8 Pro and I can use it with anything. I don't like laptops that much. I had one cheap thinkpad for university, but I no longer study so there is no point using it anymore. I just use my PC at home. If I were to make a portable setup I would buy some kind of minipc like minisforum and a cheap portable IPS screen from aliexpress. Laptops in general are more prone to failures especially gaming ones. Thinkpads are fine though. As for using the computer on the lap I've never done that, it's not ergonomic and not that comfortable. Even a laptop from work just stays connected on the desk and doesn't leave it. It's just connected to KVM switch and I don't need to fuck around with cables.

I've been hitting my Fn key a lot looking for the Ctrl key on this keyboard.

It's probably because I've been using a MacBook a lot lately and I switched back to my normal Windows laptop for today.
