I've started using IEMs a lot more than over ear headphones with my JDS Labs O2/ODAC.


I get channel imbalances at low volume with it. I've never really worked with circuit boards, from what I've read I need to swap out some resistors? Am I going to have issues driving high ohms headphones if I fuck around with this? I have dt 990 250 ohms that I still use from time to time. I honestly haven't needed to use the high gain option, even with at 250 ohms.


Any other options to consider?

I got a Hifi Walker H2 to replace my Surfans F20. The first one I got, the line-out wasn't working, and my bluetooth headset could only skip once until I turned the screen on again.
I got it replaced with a new one, and the exact same issues happened.
So at that point, I just refunded it, and decided to get another F20. It just showed up today, and now this thing has the exact same issues.

My old one was on version 2.7, and the new one is 3.4. The old one still works fine (minus the issues that caused me to replace it in the first place.)
Should I just try Rockbox or something? does anyone know if it would actually help? Is there even a working version for this device?
I don't know if I can ask them to just send me one without the current firmware or something, but I think this is the issue.

Flangezo here, yes I would probably recommend deep insertion for bumped up lower mids, better isolation, and overall smoother tone.
Double flange also worked for me, no matter the tips just be careful of the inner “sleeve” bore diameter that it conforms to your POS nozzle width.

I do own both triple flange tips and Spinfit W1 (see picrel), and the Spinfits are very good tips; if you don't have good seal with them, I'm not too sure whether triple flange tips really improve seal.

I use generic triple flange tips from Amazon, not even 10 bucks for a variety of tips. For this price, there is no excuse not to try them. They will be uncomfortable in the beginning, don't force them in, you'll get used to it.
