It's a terrible platform. Their whole tagging blacklist system is a disaster. Yeah I don't want to converse with literal nazis or white supremacists, but if someone so much as has a single opinion that is against the far left group think there, you get put on a blacklist and ignored. Place is worse than reddit honestly. Also the whole structure is fucked. Twitter's design has always been terrible, and copycats are no less terrible. I'm hoping they do something to actually get it going up again. What to do exactly? I dont know. Maybe differentiate themselves somehow from Twitter more, without pissing off the core userbase maybe. Try and get more of what people want to see in their feeds. I don't know how their feed system works exactly, but I don't think they require enough information in posts to be able to build a system that more effectively curates content to users. Like on 4chan you have to choose a board to post on, that makes it easy to find content that I want to read. Reddit has subreddits. Bluesky has hashtags, but they seem kinda shitty, and they take up room in your 300 character post limit. Plus there's no good way to filter bad content from good content in those hashtags.
