Do you really need a $300 motherboard?
Also are you buying that case or is it something you already have? If you're buying it then pick something else, there are newer cases with better noise normalized thermals for the same price or less.

>$1000 GPU
Jesus Christ are prices really this messed up now? I'm never buying a new gpu if this is the new reality.

Don't, get mid tier or a used one, don't spend that much on a GPU unless you use it for something else besides gaming, which I can tell you are not going to, because AMD have a shit GPU stack for anything that isn't basic rasterization.

Yep, mid range now costs $1000. Shit's insane, didn't the fucking Titan only cost $1000 back in the day?? And that was a HEDT/semi pro card.

Everything about the total type of build this is, is dumb as shit.
But if you have some weird idea that 360fps+ in 1440p is going to do anything for you more than any other 144hz panel, have at it.
Itโ€™s otherwise a perfectly compatible and functional PC.
But I would recommend cutting all that in half because high end PC stuff is so far into the land of diminishing returns itโ€™s a joke, and the market in general is just overpriced nonsense being sold to idiots. I wonder when pc gaming will see the same market collapse that other hobbies have.

you make more money selling 5 high price cards than 20 low price cards. sell 5 cards @ 2500$ with a 1000$ margin and you get 5k instead of selling 20 cards @ 600$ with 100$ margin and only get 2k
Nvidia understood this and now AMD does too

no, just slow down to a crawl whenever you need to rely on your hdd
like when youre editing music or video in a higher quality
some programs from the adobe suite wont even run on a machine with less than 32 gigs (adobe after effects needs that iirc)

it makes sense to cheap out on ram when your rig is sub 1000.
its makes absolutely zero fucking sense when you spend 3.7k on your rig

more often than not you can buy flagship cpus way below msrp once the new generation rolls in
to such an extent buying two cpus, one interim, and the flagship once the new gen rolls in comes cheaper than buying a sub flagship when the hw is still fresh

buying a cpu larger than you need is always a retard choice
quick example:
bought an fx 6300. for 60 bucks
upgraded to fx 8350. for 60 bucks too
now i roll with an R5 3600 (non x obviously)
guess how mych i paid for it

>b-but the frames
youre not gonna see the diff bw 200 and 225 fps

but noooooo, dont buy something that you will actually notice in day-to-day use
pay a premium for something you wont even realize is there

because if you use up all your ram the rest goes into your hard drive
which is infinitely slower
if you run one instance of a game you wont notice
but if you run a modern game
and have some music in the background
and another window with 4 keks
and youre doing other shit like torrenting etc etc

then half your shit lives on the hard drive, and your ram effectively works at the speeds of an sdd/nvme
which is multiple order of magnitude slower ***in latency
but also in raw throughput

just buy the fuking ram already
you will notice 100 bucks in ram more than you will notice 100 bucks in a keyboard

well, i program
and i do numbercrunching
so im gonna eat through any amount of ram youre gonna give me
but if i were to do normalthings only
then like i said
that would be video editing. thats the most normal thing that comes to my mind
but even without considering even that
ram makes all of your shit snappier. because your OS pre-emptively caches alot fo shit to avoid having to do that in an inopportune moment
but "caching" in this context means your os puts shit in your hard drive which then means you get it back at the speed of said hard drive

in case you dont know
the whole computation thing works by taking data physically from a point a to a point b which is the gpu or the cpu
the data physically is moved from place to place and thats why its important to consider where the data resides.
it takes longer to fetch data from a hard drive than from ram. and the difference is big

if you want comfumaxxing
you need big ram
its essential because thats where all the other components of your computer get their data from
if they need to get their data from a hard drive instead everything becomes slow
ram is really a convenience measure
and its fucking cheap, you have no excuse to stand on your position, anon
just fucking buy ram. let your system breathe
too little ram devaluates the rest of your system bc everything else runs slower

on a budget
so dont ask me, i have special needs so to speak
but i know how this stuff works
and im telling you
at the scale of fukken 3700
where another 32 gigs would be increasing your budget by 4%
buy the fucking ram it does make a difference
you want to treat yourself, but youre missing out on a multiplier on all the rest of your machine
or rather a multiplier to the ceiling of what your machine is capable of

but fucking still
if i had a 3.7k budget id build a workstation
fukken 128 gigs of ram and 4 intel arcs, prolly of the 770 sorth bc its cheap compute
in raw firepower my machine would absolutely shred ops picks
but thats not the mission
i proram stuff
op wants a gaming/universal rig
and still
ram is important
go with fukken 64 gigs so you sleep tight and you dont need to think abt upgrades for the next 5 years
and buy a goos t hermal paste too
dont use the shit thats given for free with your hw, its the crassiest sort
and at that point 10 bucks on a tube of tp compared to 3.7k

id stay at 32 unless i hit a ceiling bc now you have your 32
wtf are you gonna do? invest 16 more to be completely certain you will lose money when you upgrade?
if you cant return, staying at 32 is the logical choice here
32 is good enough
if you dont do anything ambitious you will never hit the ceiling
in 5 years you might have to upgrade thence dont invest more rn
when you will have to upgrade just dump the 16gig modules you alr have
