I don't think I've ever had a phone where having a replaceable battery matters, by the time I need to replace it, the hardware is already ancient it's already near unusable so you might as well get a new phone.

Only thing that I could see being somewhat useful is a fairly easily replaceable glass/screen. But even then I replacement screen is usually so expensive it's not worth it.

cont. further explanation: store owners need to ask for id when selling sim cards. that is the law, it says nothing about users needing to be tied to anything.

another thing for your life: there is no "legal" nor "illegal". no "legal stuff" list exists. no "illegal stuff" exists. there are only actions and they can be judged. the judge literally decides whatever he feels like. one day you get away with it, the other you don't. depends on which lawyer you hire.

good luck

LITERALLY, by the way. they can do whatever they want, it doesn't have to abide by law books what they decide. you can sue and go into the next instance if that happens and expect a fairer trial. but you have to do it. if the judge wants, he ends your life in this european super nanny state

Don't just believe the lists from the content farms, research every country and if you can buy a SIM card there at the airport and you'll find: nope. The US went totally crazy after 9/11. They insist on knowing everything. Check out this Jeffrey Sachs talk, they are tightening the noose under Trump even further: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u4c-YRPXDoM (long video but really interesting)

Kind of a big deal, this starlink internet, huh? We also can use international eSIMs nowadays to get international ISP competition.

Carriers are trying to trap users even further: They claim there is such a thing like a "SIM swap" attack. They call it attack and started taking ML enabled techniques to circumvent them, but you can disable them if you ask your carrier sometimes.
Now what is SIM swapping: You pay a bum 100 bucks to walk into the store and buy the card for you.

Watch that Palantir guy. Clinically insane. But in charge of that. https://youtu.be/WIhlC3L99x8?t=850 (short video but full of info, felt odd for a US TV show)

I know your trolling but I've lost my shitty usb to aux adapter so many times. In addition to regularly replacing my headbuds, I also have to but one of these fairly often know. these parts are also digital and have microchips so I can imagine that their footprints is multiple times higher than that of the purely analog earbuds

you dont need to replace anything, maybe the battery after 4years. And you can replace it yourself easily even in glued phone, i replaced it easily in my xiaomi phone, also bought new back cover(because it had new glue tape on it), simple

For them it was more about being able to expand it's functionality. The question is: What functionality do you need that can be supplied by the small, easily changed modules? A compass? A mediocre camera? Some sensors maybe? All that would be slow as hell and likely low quality. Unless google was willing to take a massive hit, it would also cost a lot since they couldn't guarantee x amount of sales, therefore keeping the prices of all modules high.
Anonymous No.105718360
>>105717516
I could see this working if there was a super cheap base model sold with minimal sensors and a crappy camera, and the upgrade process was easy. There's no way it'd be more profitable for Google though, the only appeal for them would be the untapped market that specifically wants a modular phone.
