Headphone jack, removable battery (tool less), slide out keyboard, no notch, small screen. Do I need to spell it out? Just make a generic smartphone that looks like its from 2009. Preloaded with Graphene or Sailfish or linux. Everything unlocked and open sourced.
Shit on every 2020s trend as hard as possible go in the opposite direction, I'm betting it'd sell more than this shit pixels bought for graphene xperias bought for SD and jack lightphones and all this shit combined. Few people want shit that deviates from the norm, but those of us who do want to go all out and we are willing to pay for it as long as its done right and its not some halfway bullshit like this.
They refuse to do this not because theres no money in this but because modern smartphones are about conformity, thats their entire purpose, to get you used to their limitations, to be brainwashed into thinking its normal to pay more for less, to always be surveiled, etc.
If someone did try the EU would probably want to ban it for "not following standards" and other countries for being a dangerous hacking device or some shit, soon they won't let you use your old Nokia just like they wanna ban old cars that dont have always on surveillance.
