Everything is already from China, but here we discuss the (formerly kek) cheap chink shit you see on various sites.
1st rule of /csg/: if it looks too good to be true, it probably is.

FYI the chinese fixed the aliexpress coins section, so you can actually add multiple items from the same listing to buy, instead of only being able to buy multiples of the same item, and add other items to reach choice threshold
be careful though, it looks like the coin discount stops applying for items you add afterward

What for? For that kind of money you most likely will be getting n100/150, they are good enough for basic daily usage and very light gaming and decent emulation (up to PS2, I would say), but not a powerhouse by any means.

Well I finally got my cooler, PA 120 SE. 5 days delivery, new record. The box got a bit beaten and there's a slight dent on one corner of the fin stack but it's not a big deal, the cooler works perfectly fine. Got it when it was discounted, and with a coupon I saved like $22 compared to what I would pay for it locally, so like $30 total. I checked the authenticity code and it was a legit Thermalright cooler, so no complaints really.

I still enjoy the music but the production/mastering weaknesses can't hide anymore.

Just received a stack of 27C400 EPROM chips that I didn't order. Haven't bought any chink ICs for close to half a decade now, and the tracking number doesn't match any of the other shit I've bought.
I've heard before of chinks sending stuff like camera lens covers and random seeds so they can do fake reviews with the tracking numbers, but this shit is actually worth some money (assuming they're real and functional) so I don't understand why they sent me this.

Don't buy insertables from Chang, or use condoms with them if you do. There are many ways to irritate your insides with plastic, and Chang cares not for your mucous membranes. He just wants to make the cheapest product which will look OK and get five star reviews from people who haven't even used it, let alone tested whether it is made from safe materials. Even if it isn't toxic, poorly manufactured toys can absorb fluids from the user and grow nasty bacteria, fungi, etc. You might get lucky, but it isn't worth taking chances with your (or your loved one's) genitals / anus.
Vibrators have slightly less contact with the really vulnerable bits, but the above still applies, and add the usual Chink quality control for electrical appliances into the mix too.
Don't buy male masturbators from Chang if the person you intend to use them on has an average White or larger penis. They will be made for small cocks.
Restraints will probably be flimsy pieces of shit, but so are most Gweilo ones. Metal ones are generally a bit better.
Rope is mostly fine so long as you don't insist on actual hemp (Chang will lie). Just wash it before use (and regularly).
Bondage tape is fine, as is vet tape / self-adhesive bandage.
Impact toys are generally fine.
Electroshock devices are a bit of a gamble, but you can get decent violet wands from China at low prices. Buy your contact pad from a White person and you should be safe.
Suction cups and the like should be OK, although you should to be cautious about glassware, which could easily be fragile, shatter, and cause nasty wounds.
Costumes, masks, blindfolds, etc. will usually be low quality but if you use the usual methods of searching for clothes and the like (read a lot of reviews, look for authentic photos, don't buy anything which doesn't list sizes, etc.) you should be able to find some OK stuff.

There's a specific sweet spot of cheap shit that direct chinkshit has a hard time competing with: Bulky and/or heavy yet not valuable.
So stuff like weights, brooms, inflatable rafts, that kind of shit.
Individually shipping those isn't commercially viable at chinkshit prices, as the shipping is vastly more than the actual value of the item.
As a result bulk shipping these items to warehouses or stores locally and selling from there is able to compete with, or even outcompete chinkshit sellers that ship individually.
This has always been the case though. Also it's still chinkshit, just sold via a intermediary that essentially bundles the shipping cost into fewer larger shipments.

I can say stores and brands like FAAK and YOCY (which seem to actually be the same brand) are honest about the material the dildo is made out of, and also fairly priced.
What you probably want is soft silicone, since it tends to be the most durable and comfortable material.
Beyond those brands, the items that come in black and gold/orange variants also tend to be silicone.
As for artificial vaginas, most are TPE or similar, which is a much lower quality material but not gonna cause any issues if you're just sticking your dick inside. Silicone ones exist but seem to all have monster/animal designs and are fairly pricey.
Like many other things on Ali, (clothes etc.) titles will often lie so make sure to check the info boxes in the item listing.

LOL, looks like I got chinked;
Bought some stuff during the sale, and now -after the sale- multiple of those items are ~10-40% CHEAPER.
What do I do? Return and reorder for the better price?
Complicating things, I used some of Ali's coupons.
If I return only part of an order, so that it ends up below min.price of the coupon, will I get the full item price refunded or will I get ((price - coupon value)) ?

I got the meme projector (magcubic HY300) and I'm really happy with it despite the anons warning that it wasn't that great. I guess it's a matter of perspective, if you're expecting it to be a home cinema type projector you'll be disappointed, I got it primarily for on the go/outside use, stuff like projecting onto a wall from my balcony to watch a movie, or onto a tarp in the park/woods and it seems plenty capable for that. Gets a lot brighter than I expected too.
3 negative aspects though:
- To screencast to it you have to use some weird spyware proprietary app that's not even on the appstore and that wants giga permissions
- It's very picky with audio codecs for some reason and will flat out refuse to play a lot of mp4 files without reencoding from USB
- It has quite the hot exhaust (to be expected) but that's exactly where you plug in the USB too, so the USB drive gets uncomfortably hot. Time will tell if that's an issue.

Next step is figuring out if I can reasonably run it from my ebike battery for ultimate guerilla movie potential, the dream is comfymaxxing and projecting onto a tarp in the woods while chilling in either a chair or hammock with some friends.

a lot smaller and lighter than the one i got coupe weeks ago, i returned that one. this one is also quieter.
has holes on the clip side too so you can just wear it under the tshirt and not care that the front intake is blocked.

like a plastic sheet i guess? i like the color

also some matching underwear 2,50€ https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005007560354755.html
they are comfy, especially on the front. only issue is that if you have a fat ass it will probably be pretty obvious lines onthe cheeks indenting through the pants.

on the topic i can also recommend these underwears
https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005007383829565.html suuuuper comfy shorts type and hug everything really nicely in the back, separate ventilated puch in the front with with side openings
https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005006094703456.html more standard, nice but might be too thin and synthetiky for some. all 1 layer.
https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005005543610793.html these are incredibly soft, like wearing a cloud

and 3/3 "barefoot" shoes again
returned the previous ones and got a refund instantly after sending them, ordered 1-2 sizes larger
they are nice.

white ones 14€ https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005006787720254.html
dark ones 12€ https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005007991684336.html

i like both of them, for white ones i had to take 2 sizes larger only due to my nail digging into the upper part due to upwards curve of the toe (probabloy cause regular shoes fuck your feet up with their curved soles and narrow front, hate normal shoes), dark ones are a bit nicer shape so i took more close fitting ones. both seem well made, thin foam insole, on white ones sole is softer so stepping on pebbles is uncomfortable (could be painful if you dont notie), on dark ones the sole is slightly more rigid so it doesnt feel as much when you step on thing, also white ones are thin one layer summer fabric and dark ones are double layer padded so for colder weather.

all in all can wholeheartedly recommend them. i also really like the plaid design on the dark ones.

Here're some ideas if you're looking to fill out to the next breakpoint.
- battery tester, if you have partially used batteries lying around
- usb tester, to check things are behaving as you expect
- uvc tester, if you buy /csg/ sunglasses, etc
- card wallet, if you have a large number of loose cards
- hotel door latch, it's like a door stopper for a closed door
- keychain pliers, fits in the small jeans pocket
- head lamp, useful when inspecting stuff

on this.
Usually they don't even give the seller a chance to defend himself, just refund me immediately.
Once some device I bought from Ali stopped working 2 months in, and they claimed a 90 day guarantee on the page. Opened a dispute, immediately got a prepaid shipping label (to a city in my country, not even back to China). Packaged, put the label on it, sent, got my money back. Took less than three days.
Bought the same device after, it's happily working to this day.

it would probably be a lot better if the case was metal or something heat conducting dissipating, but I couldn't find any for my Poco f6

honestly modern phones are too powerful. someone needs to start making things for better passive phone cooling.

>omron d2f vs d2f-01f
The pdf from Omron says:
- d2f handles 3a current and has 150g operating force
- d2f-01f handles 0.1a current and has 75g operating force

- So you WILL have problems.
- The switch will be firmer to click.
- And it'll start doubling clicking sooner rather than later because the model is not designer to handle things in the milliamps range.
You really want the d2f-01 (heavy click) or d2f-01f (lighter click) which are built for handling tiny currents.

https://omronfs.omron.com/en_US/ecb/products/pdf/en-d2f.pdf

I think this is the famous video that goes into the double clicking issue:

5) alternate joycons for my switch. the official joycons are dogwater, the joysticks either start to drift or the mechanism for keeping them on the switch starts to give out so you have to do some MacGyver solution where you put layers of duct tape on the bottom-left side of the switch so that they hold better. after this happened on my second pair i said fuck this and bought these. controls feel nice, it's a lot comfier to play since you have an actual grip, and they're lighter than they look which also helps ergonomically. overall pretty happy, we'll see how long they last.

6) mmcx modded koss ksc75s with included headband. highlight of the haul for me. i love the ksc75s but the cable is very flimsy, tends to break, and i've gone through 3 pairs of them already. i was a bit skeptical on these considering the price but they seem to be genuine ksc75 drivers, insane considering they cost about the same as buying a pair of actual ksc75s off the koss website. cable is not the best, a bit short and doesn't feel very premium, but for the price I'm not complaining. very very happy with these.

the 68% keyboard wasn't by choice, i would've preferred a normal layout with numpad but i hopped on the rapid trigger train and the full size rapid trigger china keyboards are far more expensive so i said fuck it and went with the tranny board. and since 68% keyboards don't have a printscreen button i remapped the right ctrl since i don't use it and switched the keycap. bit ugly but it works.

>>105752394
i don't think so but i believe mobapad have a more expensive variant that includes motion controls and you can also use those wirelessly. not 100% on this though.

>>105752479
yeah, it's just a standard mmcx mod. i should buy a better cable but i still haven't read up on which ones are good. you can diy the mmcx mod yourself but i still don't know how to solder so i went with these. the charger, i have no reference point since my pixel didn't come with one. it charges faster than my old 20w samsung charger though so i believe their 30w rating. for the price though it's probably counterfeit yeah.

For outside use/quick sessions it's way more convenient to have one of these chinkhelds. This stretchy controller setup is more of an at-home thing really. At which point you'd be better off with like a steam deck or a switch or something anyway. Or even just playing on PC or console.

it's insane value and probably one of my best purchases yet. a gain knob and real-time monitor jack at this price is one thing, but the mic slips out of its cage so you can mount it to a universal stand
some mics at this price have a base built onto the bottom so you can't use them this way but for this model you can

>>105758023
i haven't checked yet on ali because i'm planning to get my next one from temu. one advantage i've found is that when you hover over items on temu, it'll automatically show you the video without needing to visit the item page so you can more easily browse and compare them on the search page
imho if it comes with an attachment which allows you to vacuum the floor then it'll probably be strong enough. these pressure readings like 65kpa, 45, 30, etc. feel like they're made up and i don't know if we can go by them.
these battery packs are bigger and aren't the usual 4x14500 in a 4S1P config so they'll be able to drive bigger motors

don't regret it at all, but i wish i knew then how many things i would need to upgrade, could have self sourced just the final parts.
trying to do the whole wiring loom by myself at the same time would have for sure killed any interest though, replacing wires bit by bit was much more manageable.

I've bought £200-300 phones and tablets from aliexpress, but the most expensive thing was £360 on a xiaomi M365 pro scooter. This was back in the days where I could get stuff shipped from the EU tax free though so nowadays that would probably be £500+

LDAC is for high-res audio, though imo it's sounds slightly better than AAC even when listening to stuff from Spotify.
Moondrop are known for sound quality though so the Pill might be a better choice if they don't suffer from QC issues like the Moca.

It is good to have something that does a job of a phone while having its own battery, yes. I have an audio player and a handheld for that. I even have a flashlight, a small keychain one to help me find a keyhole of a bike lock if there are no good street lights.
But let's be realistic, how often one might need lights and for how long? Would that impact phone battery in any significant way? Like with a store example, how much time and light do you need to find your way out? Three minutes tops?

I find a small 18650 flashlight more practical than my phone.
>pull out an unwieldy rectangular slab
>unlock it
>swipe down quick settings
>tap on flashlight tile
vs
>pull out a small handy cylinder
>click a button

It's the same reason for which I've taken the Casiopill.
>pull out your phone
>unlock it
>lock it
>put it back in your pocket
vs
>look at your wrist

Not that anon, but you should be able to either activate your flashlight via gestures while locked (if I shake my phone the flashlight toggles) or if that's not an option you can add it as a quick button on your lock screen on android. Think like the quick access to your wallet you can also add a button that if you press toggles the flashlight, even while the phone is locked.
That being said, I do like having a flashlight and while I don't edc it, a small good flashlight is just nicer for working in tighter spaces.

You missed my point entirely. You look at the time dozens of times per day, so it makes sense to use a wristwatch.
You need a light maybe once every three months living in the city. More likely even less often. In that case

That's the thing, it all depends on what kind of phone you have. In my case I have one that's painfully close to stock AOSP so the fastest way to bring it up is from the quick settings menu on the lock screen. Still, no matter how easy it is for you to enable it on your phone, you still have to hold a phone, an unwieldy slab just to point a single LED in front of you. Pulling out a dedicated flashlight from my pocket and clicking a button is way faster, and it's not a burden to EDC, it clips onto the pocket so I don't even feel it.
>>105765085
>living in the city
I live in the bumfuck of nowhere. At least once per year there's a 24 hour power outage. A compact 18650 flashlight isn't expensive, isn't difficult to EDC, is nicer to use than my phone, and comes in handy more often than you might think.

I wasn't trying to argue with you anon, if you prefer it this way that's all fine. Personally I wouldn't want to clip something to my trousers for edc, but that's city dweller mentality for you. I'm already the weird one out for regularly (though not everyday) carrying a opinel with me.

Do yourself a favor and search your settings for either "quick tap" (less likely that you have that) or Lockscreen > Shortcuts (more likely that you have that). If you have neither I guess a third party app could also do it, but who knows if that drains battery due to a always on service and given you already have a flashlight I doubt that'd be worth it for you.
Even if you don't want the flashlight it's worth a check as you can set other useful shortcuts on both options and a lot of people who can use it don't seem to know about it.

I'm the type of tech autist that digs through all the features and settings of everything that I use. Snoy didn't bother with adding a flashlight gesture to their AOSP flavor and plain AOSP 13 is really barebones, you have no idea how much heavy lifting vendors like Google and Lenovo/Motorola do, not to mention all the chinkshit overlays and Samsung's OneUI since they basically throw AOSP out of the window.

I could probably come up with something with Tasker, but then again, I EDC a flashlight already so if I needed to use the one in my phone in a pinch, the swipe down is good enough.

Fair enough, I just didn't want you to miss a feature you already had (because most people in my family routinely do).
I have a pixel, so it's far from stock android, and I used to have a motorola which does have built in gestures (shaking the phone for camera and flashlight depending on the shake was a favorite of mine), but in fairness I've never tried a sony one.
As you said, you already have a flashlight so no use putting much effort into a solution for something that even if it works perfectly won't be better than what you already have.

What do you mean by solder kit? Like a kit that can get you started soldering? Or one of those premade kits to solder some electronics project that serves as practice? The latter doesn't make sense if you want to integrate your own chip, so I'm a bit confused.
If it's the former:
Soldering iron, flux, solder, some cables, parts, shrink tube or electrical tape or nail polish, some stand for the iron, possibly a PSU if not provided with the cable.
For soldering iron the best value is still the pinecil (from pine64, not ali) , if that's hard to get where you are, any of the TS100, T12, TS21 and whatever are great. Maybe even a yihua. For a cheap minimum viable project you can also use the cheap wall mount ones but you'll regret those if you use them regularly.

literally just go buy a cheap $10 soldering iron, wire and solder, from your local electronics store, wick is only for desoldering, flux is more for work on PCBs.
hell, for THAT project you could very likely just do it with jumpers, since all the LED boards, and the ESP32, have pin headers.

If you have further questions, just ask, personally I use a ts100, but that's because the pinecil didn't exist yet when I got mine (sadly). If it ever breaks I'd get a pinecil, personally. There's other stuff like solder paste and hot plates but that's for SMD work, I'm assuming that project is just connecting the modules, so no SMD work needed.
Other than what I mentioned, some stuff you don't need but will appreciate to have: A multimeter (imo each household should own one anyways), wire strippers (for a first project you can use a multitool or just knife, but it gets annoying quick and wire strippers are convenient), a cheap breadboard for prototyping with a set of dupont jump wires, male to female (you can get those for like 2€ and be set for a long time, they are super useful to prototype before you finalize the deal and solder it all together).

Picrel is my project corner, excuse the mess, but other than the stuff I mentioned all of that is pretty much optional or for more specific uses. Those plastic helping hands can be convenient at times, but I'd suggest buying stuff like that if you find yourself soldering more than just once. (also if you already have a 3d printer you can print similar ones).

My usecase? Having fun with a looooong beam. That's it, that's my usecase.
The only lights that I actually use are
>Sofirn BS01
Budget bike light that has an easily replaceable (21700) battery, decent lens and reflector architecture or whatever you call it so it doesn't blind oncoming traffic and uses Garmin mount that I have on my bike anyway so I can take the light with me if I leave the bike somewhere
>Warsun work light
It has a magnet and a hook and a clip and is water resistant and (presumably) 18650 battery. I use it while doing something around the house in places with low light.
>Noname $3 keychain light
For finding a keyhole on a bike lock. Has a tail magnet, which works great since my bike is steel if I need to find a valve to pump a tire in the dark.
>Olight Oclip
It just hangs by my bedside and is always in the red light mode so I wouldn't blind myself with white light if I need to find something in the middle of the night. Once I finally go back to hiking it will be clipped to the backpack strap.

It's not that I NEED it in the sense that I can't do it without, it's that it makes it fucking 50 times easier because the flux helps with stuff like heat propagation. I'd recommend just getting it and trying it to any beginner, it'll make it so much easier for cases like soldering two wires together. Sure if you want to wire a male header onto a PCB then it's probably overkill, but even there it helps.
