Ray Kurzweil says that if you can make it to 2035, you will very likely be able to live forever. Let's talk about the current and future state of anti-aging technology and therapies.

I use to believe this for my entire life, I'm 25 and recently came to accept that it won't happen. I have realistically 40 years left before shit starts to go bad for my health and past 65 I think it's really a crapshoot.

I see two big problems
1. Internet and technology placating and distracting people from doing real work
2. Political infighting and instability setting us back/distracting us.

Hopefully I am wrong but I have accepted my death and have began living accordingly.

I don't know about living forever, but life expectancy is steadily rising.

I'm 26, but I'm more optimistic than you on the topic. I think that AGI will vastly accelerate our research and development capabilities. I talked to my father about the subject, and he said that he wouldn't accept the therapy even if it existed. He says he wants to see what's on the other side.

I think AI is a meme and the bubble is going to burst. Even if it doesn't I think it just sets us back on the long term by making people more stupid and dependent on it.

They've been saying that every 5ish years.
And in that time zero progress has been made and the rich people funding it all look like they're basically corpses walking.

Never forget if you live forever you have to work forever, consoom slop forever, get sick of people and try to find new ones who you'll get sick off, visit everywhere, do everything until there's nothing left. Learn everything and finally realise its all pointless

Life is designed to be short, a few hundred years of it and you'll blow your head off

Even if they can get AI to be better at 'most' tasks than a generic human (what they say agi is) doesn't mean it'll be capable of breakthroughs or the things the smartest humans can do.

given how old these politicians are living its safe to say two things that black pilled me about life extension
1: they wont give it to us because they hate us. these faggots are living to 110 years old but they just wont fork over any of the earnings
2: to help develop it they almost certainly are out there trafficking and grinding up preteen children.

In short, despite achieving life extension they are in fact dead. they have ceased to be human. they are as craven and incomprehensible as any demon.
