not only is it slow, flux requires significant hardware upgrade from people using 12gb vram and below. Never bothered with it despite having 16gb of vram. Most of what can be done on flux can be done with sdxl 1.0, pony, illustrious, noobai and lighting with better speed. The only difference seems to be prompt adherence and certain graphical styles that can mimic dalle. Not sure what direction the future local image gen can go from here but if its chroma being shilled to newcomers as the new meta then the future is truly bleak.

Some artist styles just look boring with wainsfw while looking pretty cool with noobai.

Characters that are drawn that way will be genned that way as well for the most part.

Not really. I've tried various characters, male and female, and they're all drawn in a younger way. Using artist tags usually helps but not by a lot. Controlnet can be a clutch but it's a hit or miss and also a chore.
