Since Google has become such crap for searching, what are real non-meme alternatives to it?

Startpage or Yandex depending what you want, and if you're low opsec (you arex since you were using Google in the first place). The former for general queries, the latter for anything /pol/itical or otherwise controversial.

There are none. Yandex is decent from a censorship standpoint, but sucks in countless other ways. And everything that's not Google is insanely slow by comparison. Anons don't want to accept it, but there is currently no search engine as good as Google, even with all the censorship and privacy issues. How hard is it to create a proper interface and implement search operators properly?

Wiby.me isn't a search indexer. Its a static list of sites that's never updated that is collated based on stupid arbitrary criteria such as looking old. Marginalia is a search indexer like a normal search engine is. Its not just indie sites. You can filter those out with the tools they offer.

Google Pays all three browser engines to include their standards, if they don't they tell Cloudflare to block you. Otherwise Ladybird, Servo and Flow would have taken off years ago.

it's about search engines, not browser engines
>Ladybird
it's just unfinished yet, give it some time
>Servo
it's mozilla project that's not even intended to replace gecko
does it even support css3 fully yet?
>Flow
???

overall, the problem is that 2021 browser probably wouldn't even load all 2025 websites. small engines can't keep up with that

i think it's quite feasible for 4chan or just browsing already, but didn't check it yet
