You can put an ssd in it and install the newest 32 bit OS that still supports the hardware.

I still have the better version, the XPS M170. It also had three RGB zones and a 7800 GTX.

I'd go back to that era.

4gb of ram and an ssd is about all you can do. it wont recognize any newer wifi cards I have tried in mine so you are stuck with wired internet..

Remember it's only 32bit so you need to run a 32bit OS i run mx linux.

Inspirons were actually quite good until about 2005. Yes, bottom of thr barrel.poorfag brand, but not 5x overpriced child's.toy tier. They were totally good enough for business use back then, and super cheap.
