I second XTTS. It's getting long in the tooth, but it still produces the best voice cloning. I like to train a XTTS and RVC at the same time, gen on XTTS, then run it through the RVC model of the same voice to finetune it.
Like the other anon said, F5 isn't bad, but it fails the Max Payne test, just like every other voice cloning model does except XTTS, the test being replicating the way Payne delivers his monologues.
Got a demo roll of voices I've cloned here, including Johnny from CP2077, Max Payne, Garret, a few guards from Thief and the poncy Keeper from Thief too. It's not perfect, but still not bad for local :

We already have something better, it's called Cosmos-Predict2 2b. I keep trying to tell you guys this, but people are very bad at evaluating models, and discount them for the pettiest reasons. Let me list all the pros of CP2b:

Undistilled.
Permissive license. Can use commercially.
2b parameters (smaller than SDXL UNET). Full finetuneable on 24GB VRAM.
Almost Flux-level in terms of how well it responds to training.
Supports multiple resolutions and generalizes across resolutions like Flux (can train loras at 512 res for very fast training).

Cons:
Slopped look (fixed by fine tuning on a mere few thousand images).
Censored (not really a con, SDXL is also censored, the only thing that matters is how well it trains)

By all rights this model should eventually replace SDXL.

cosmos 2b and 14b look really similar, which to me signals that the model is undercooked. but it serves to show how inefficient some of these open models are, chroma ripped a bunch of parameters from flux, and it still performs better.
the question is, who is willing to train cosmos 2b to be XL with a better VAE.
