They know that despite making windows progressively worse since decades, the compatibility and adoption are the 2 things that they need to somewhat maintain to prevent most people who do something on their computers from switching to something else. Well, the only considerable alternatives are either mac or troonix. Mac works actually but has very limited software selection and you are normally supposed to only run it on apple's hardware, which is not the way to go for many people. Troonix on the other hand is still a joke of cosmic proportion, even though it kinda, sort works sometimes on the desktop then its still plagued by even smaller software selection, random hardware incompatibilities, RTFM culture, endless war about various systems components and political shitstorms. Thats why IMHO the only sane choice for a personal computer is Windows 7, provided that your machine can run it. You can run allmost all software thats actually worth running on your personal machine on it, and a little more with vxkex, it runs on potato hardware and will not nag you with ads, ai jeetware, tranny propaganda etc. If you can't, then I guess that iot ltsc is the way to go.

You will probably tell that its cope or something, but I struggle to find modern games that are actually worth playing and won't run on windows 7. I also don't want to rely on steam or other kiked platform like that. There are maybe like 3 or 4 incompatible titles that I would like to try but they are not worth upgrading my software and hardware really.
