Does he mean the model itself produces its own unconditional prediction, which then goes into the construction of the target the model is trained on? I'm really loramaxxing to test what loras actually improve the output, what ruin it and which ones are just snakeoil. Turns out a lot of "bad" loras that can change faces in i2v like with fusionx or produce grey noise for the first few frames actually work fine if you only use them at full strength for the first few steps and then tone them down.

It's not the fault of loras that they can't fix Flux dev.

A lora can be great to add or strengthen concepts that you want and the base model doesn't deliver, and ALL concepts in the base model become heavily generalized when training, that's inevitable.

So for the best transfer of an artstyle, a person etc, using a lora is great, it cannot however fully fix core problems in the model, like plastic skin, botched genitalia etc, which is why a model like Chroma with loras will be so much better.

kontext is bloated and gimped, by the time the community fixes it we'll have a better alternative from china. this kind of model is simply not production ready, more optimizations and non-slopped training are needed. instead of eating scraps from the API table, I'll continue to use t2i models with mature tool chains and freedom.
