I like the hardware a lot (Pinephone Pro), and I'm likely to not use anything more than calls, texts, and emails.

Am I retarded for wanting an iPhone if my current phone is a Samsung and I'm fed up with slow updates that change basically nothing (wow a new notification shade!) and add no new features? I had to wait MONTHS for OneUI 7 and literally all it changed was the motherfucking notification shade. No fresh UI redesign, no new features, just a new drop down menu and I guess the live activities thingy which is cool I suppose.

From what I remember (this was back in 2010 at the latest) Apple used to give you updates, but they usually lacked features and the updates made your phone perform worse and worse and worse until you were strong-armed into an upgrade.

Phone just forced an update for the first time since I got it a year ago, and now it's doing this weird shit with the lock screen where every time it's a different image and article at the bottom. I don't have a lock screen or widgets settings I just can't turn it off.

lol. We used it, we're telling you. Either you can believe us, ask someone else doing *exactly* the same thing (using it and telling you) or you can buy one and try it yourself. The thing has very little processor cache so if you're a GTK fag it will constantly be hitting the (insanely slow) bus. Basically if you're working set doesn't fit in the processor cache the whole thing constantly waits on the bus which makes it way slower than the specs suggest. It's surprisingly bad hardware but the nice thing is there are drivers for everything.

Also the screens use water soluble glue so you *must* replace them every couple years. It's incredibly low quality.

Changed the battery on my M1 Air. Extremely long life is back, 12+ hours is nothing again. These things have been out for several years by now, batteries don't last forever (and changing it was much easier than the last MacBook battery I did, a 15 Pro from 2015 or something)

Reminder to keep your phone screens clean and especially make sure your screen protector is applied properly and is clean too. It lowers the quality of what you're seeing if the screen protector has pubes and air bubbles under it.

I would stick with my v20 but jeetware play services keeps draining the battery and app support is getting bad because its stuck on android 8.

I was looking for something that is mostly easily repairable and had removable battery. But seems that ship has sailed unless you go with a Xcover.
