>>105750362NTA, but I do browse Chinese internet regularly (Douyin, Zhihu, Bilibili etc.), and there is indeed a growing anti-government sentiment among Chinese citizens, especially since post-Covid with the economic recession and high social pressure.
>In 2016, the last year the survey was conducted,You are utterly retarded for two reasons: 1. Believing that Chinese people will respond honestly under the pressure of being taken by the police for answering "wrongly"; 2. Even assuming that the survey was done honestly, you believe that a 9-year-old result is still relevant today with so many changes and events that have taken place.
It is honestly interesting, that when Chinese themselves were mostly content with the government, the Westerners were seething at China (a decade ago). But now things are upside-down - Chinese are angry at their government with Westerners start simping for it. I guess this is what is called "grass is greener on the other side", but unfortunately with the inherent inequality between the Chinese people and Westerners, the latter can afford living like a king as an expat in China with all their blissful ignorance of the lower class situation in China, while the former has to endure the hardships while being fully aware that there is no greener grass they can go to.
