well they are right. what's the point of removing the fresh air out of that upper right blue arrow if your top blue fan is exhausting it right in front of the CPU cooler.

unfortunately, the common design of the major components of a PC makes virtually every cooling setup a shitshow. The most performant is full water-cooling, but it's expensive and time consuming and has a bad failure mode.

The fans are diminishing returns the stock flux fans are fine and they really want you to use a AIO for the top mount anyways. Why would I pay that much for a case and not use a AIO?

Yeah it has no bottom fans.
You put the PSU upside-down so it intakes from the same place the GPU intakes.
Not ideal but make it slightly more compact I guess.

The mesh version has a side fan mount so you can theoretically add 2 extra intake fans for the GPU and PSU.
HOWEVER unless your video cars is very narrow it doesn't even fit.

It's not a terrible case for airflow, but it's not great either.

It won't remove all air but it will reduce the amount of air going through the CPU cooler.
Even the mesh side is bad for CPU cooling.
The clear side panel option is better because is stops the front intake air from escaping.

I still bought the mesh for looks but wish they had a solid black side panel or perhaps one with some wood details to match the front.

>the CPU cooler's fan will draw in no air?

No its just a drawing of where some air goes. It depends on the rpm of the fans. On the top front intake fan, the ceiling fan is going to catch most of that before it gets to the cpu because it's so far forward of the cpu fan. But the 2nd front fan is only going to lose some airflow to the top fan. Regardless, what the fuck does the first ceiling fan do? Cools your power cable? No it just takes air that was never heated out of the case. And we want the air that was never heated to go in the cpu

Top fans are fucking pointless at best and a detriment at worst.
It has been proven the best airflow pattern is a straight flow-through to produce a wind tunnel effect.
Obviously GPUs tend to fuck this up to some degree, but it's still better than fans every fucking where in all directions.

When are we going to start doing this? You get the intake fans right next to the cpu and gpu with outside air. It has to cool well. The bottom fans draw air from the back and side of the shroud. Works on windowed cases.

forgot to add that the gpu exhausts some in the back, but it depends on the type of gpu. Most exhaust is the width of the gpu and the front has a opening in the backplate for passthrough. You could deflect the rear exhaust down so the rear fan doesn't intake as much.

Yeah I was thinking about that the other day, the goal should be to put the heat between your AC supply register and your bedroom door. Instead we put the heat behind your deck lmao

It only works for Noctua fans, since they're hyper engineered.
Try this with your run of the mill corsair shitfans and youll get different results.

Learn abot thermodynamics, the fan push cold wind.
So normally in most cases is.
>one fan to push cold wind.
>another fan to extract hot wind + dust.
Simple as that, sadly most pc builds only come with wind extractor which causes overheating after time.
>colder inside increase electric signal flow.
>pushing cold air increase duration of parts.
>having only extractor deteriorates hardware faster, along reducing performance.

almost 10 degrees on the CPU, but I'm running a p620 with a bad (underpowered) cpu cooler that comes stock with 5945wx. I baffled the case fan I installed in the 2 din bay thats got a bloweymatron rate limited by fancurve so I dont blow out my eardrums. however, fan curve does a lot of heavy lifting on its own, I can find the sweet spot of what my ears can tolerate vs what the machine is capable of baring temps wise. I found that the baffle I set up to push gpu air up into the top part of the system for expulsion in the exhuast I have set up was basically nothing. I might put it back in again and double check, but right now I am just thrilled I can get my room cooler with some tweaking. the main reason to cool my CPU which ran at a comfortable 60 down to a 47? becuase I want my fucking room to be less hot. I find that the thing radiates on the case if I dont get the heat off of it. the GPU baffle isn't like the one above. it's designed not to funnel cold air to the GPU. it already has LOTS. but its designed to push the air it uses UP into the exhaust area so that it doesn't get recycled by the system. meanwhile the baffle for the CPU is meant to counteract this and make sure the CPU is drawing in cold air. however like I mentioned the baffle didn't do much to change my temps.

any chance we can see this implementation? i have an NH-D15 that's probably slurping up the GPU hot air from below. I might consider closing that shit up with something 3d printed (assuming it wont melt).

Havent put the panels back on yet. But pic related was what i was thinking since i cant get to the top front fan without pulling out the whole thing.

the issue with that is that GPU core is right under the back GPU fan, and the GPU blows the hottest air out the side to the case wall causing it to rise right behind the CPU cooler. Because of that, doing a reverse flow will actually ingest hotter air than doing the typical front to back airflow.

I call bullshit on this because heatpipes are so fast, but if you've seen in on thermal camera or something i'll take your word for it

You could also duct a rear intake a lot easier to fix that entirely

also does the pci express connector blocks that area. There's like 2 inches behind the connector for air to move through, and that's not particularly close to the gpu anymore

Meanwhile stuff like power delivery is further up on the cord and that gets pretty hot

Try placing a plastic bag in the top front slot (a dust filter cover will help here) and see what that does for your CPU temps. Turn up the power to your front fans instead.

There's no evidence that anybody ever used it as an outtake at that spot. It's obvious that it would just eject cold air.
It's mainly intended for radiator mounting.

I'm still rocking an FT02 with 9600x and a 9060xt.

Apparently modern heatpipe GPU coolers dont like being upside down like this but for such a pissy little card it doesn't matter.

All the fans are dying so I have replacements coming in the mail right now and I replaced the front panel connector with a new USB-C version.
