I kept telling everyone at the start of the year when the vanilla 5000s paper launched and had trash drivers so wait for the SUPER refresh. I can't understand why Nvidia didn't just delay the release and make these the default versions to begin with. Save those dies to minted on satisfactory board configs.

It's a single fan 140mm radiator AIO, probably even blowing against the resistance of the fan grill to the rear. No wonder the CPU gets hot like hell. With such a small rad you would need a very high throughput of air but this setup can't provide it.

You don't want air to move fast through a radiator. You want it to heatsoak right up near the maximum capacity. This is why race cars duct air into diffusers just before the radiator, raising pressure and reducing velocity, and then nozzle the velocity back up to get rid of it. These are so efficient that they have to tape up half the radiator to keep the engine warm.

My guess is OP doesnt even have any coolant in that shit, or massive air bubbles.

Right now the 9700X is a bit overpriced, when the 14600K matches it in Gaming/MT for less. If you aren't going to splurge for the X3D chip for gaming it's better to take the savings from a midrange CPU and plow them back into the GPU.
See: https://www.techpowerup.com/review/amd-ryzen-7-9800x3d/27.html

Raptor has the advantage that you can use 32GB of DDR4 3200CL16 which has about the same performance as DDR5-5000CL30 for half the price. Slightly overpaying for your Cooler, SDD and PSU.

Edited PCPP List ($400 Saved): https://pcpartpicker.com/list/HycMYd

For the GPU, I really don't like the idea of you spending over half a grand on a GPU with only a 12GB VRAM buffer especially when Nvidia is updating the same GPU with 18GB of VRAM in a few months >>105748963 Even @ 1440p you might run into a few situations in the future with newer games or Game Mods where you'd become VRAM bottle-necked at have lower texture quality forced on you even if the underlying GPU horsepower was plenty. I left the 5070 as-is bit I'd personally suggest taking some of the savings and getting the more powerful RX 9070 with 16GB of VRAM for an extra $100:
https://pcpartpicker.com/product/zvjv6h/sapphire-nitro-radeon-rx-9070-16-gb-video-card-11349-01-20g
There's a cheaper model for $600 if it ever comes back in stock:
https://www.newegg.com/asus-prime-rx9070xt-16g-radeon-rx-9070-xt-16gb-graphics-card-triple-fans/p/N82E16814126787?Item=N82E16814126787
CP2077 Benches: https://www.techpowerup.com/review/asrock-radeon-rx-9070-steel-legend-oc/13.html
Alternatively I'd wait for the 5070 Super.

Ive used single fan rads before on a 3930k and it was horrible. Couldn't even sustain 130W on that CPU when 240mm aios were cooling upwards of 200W. A 120mm tower air cooler literally cooled better than that single fan aio did.
The 12900KS is a super binned high voltage part that runs even hotter than most intel i9s and will need a 280 or 360mm aio at minimum to have good performance.

No, I'm >>105749750 and you're correct (I read your post wrong and thought you were going TO a 27" 1080p panel instead of FROM one). 24" @ 1080p looks fine and will be sharper than 27" @ 1080p, the issue is you are used to a 27" size panel so downgrading may make things look really small to start with and take awhile to get used to unless you scoot the monitor much closer to your sitting position.

What country are you in, and what's your max monitor budget?

IPS tend to be the better all-arounder unless you get VERY specific VAs like the new AOC Q27G40XMN.
Budget VAs tend to be way too slow coming out of dark color values resulting in inverse ghosting/smearing and have narrow viewing angles (prone to color and gamma shift/washout from off-angle positions).

thats one of the dumbest setups i've ever seen in my life anon. Put the AIO on the top, have the fans on the bottom EXHAUST air, not intake, and make the rear fan exhaust aswell. The GPU will be blowing air down and the bottom fans will assist sucking that air out, the rear exhaust fan is to keep moving air away from the VRMs + capacitors around the cpu.

^27" 1440p@180Hz Fast-IPS w/Adaptive-Sync for $130 (on sale for the next ~5 hours). All of these budget fast-IPS displays use the same bunch of 1-3 panels (I think mostly by Innolux IIRC) so there's not much difference performance-wise between them other than price. This way you wouldn't have to compromise on viewable size or resolution clarity (also slightly beats that 165Hz panel you were looking at as far as input latency goes).

There's also another option for $140 (not a sale price) with the same specs:
https://www.amazon.com/SANSUI-Monitor-Computer-ES-G27F2Q-Included/dp/B0CWCWL81G
And a splurge known-good option for $152 (same model, different monitor stand so SKU is a little different)

Retard, either the scaling will not be noticeable because you have pixels too small to see, or there will be black bars in the blank spots that you wont even notice.

Also old movies from the 80s and before scale perfectly with 1440p ultrawide monitors and fill the entire screen.

RDNA1 and 2 were good for their time.
The 5700XT forced NVIDIA to make RTX 20 Super refresh cards (had to make 2070 Super, it was too close to the regular 2080 so NVIDIA also made a 2080 Super).
RDNA2 GPUs were made on a better node than RTX 30, which pushed NVIDIA to go hard on the GPU specs from top to bottom.
Most of the RDNA2 cards put up a fight against their RTX 30 counterparts (RT was still relatively nascent & DLSS was starting to get taken seriously.).

RDNA3 was AMD selling a not fully-cooked GPU, 7800XT and the GRE were justifiable if you needed a new card.
7900 XT maybe when it was discounted closer to $600.

It's because of social media and the influencer industry, I'm not kidding.
All those beautiful pornstars of the past were born too soon to make easy money being Instagram/OnlyFans models.

You notice this in JAVs too, the actresses aren't as hot as they used to be.
The smokeshows don't necessarily have to resort to hardcore porn anymore.

They need to make a case that is explicitly meant to use twin AIOs that are mounted externally in a vertical position, pointing in different directions so that the hot exhaust never mixes. Like a sort of half-open-bench design. The grommets for the tubes can be half assed and don't really matter because the small case shell itself only needs one or two side fans pointed directly at the motherboard, it can be purely intake-only with every other hole being a natural pressure escape. A set of 120mm and 140mm wide clip-on dust filters will do for the AIO fans. As an added extra such a design could be placed on its back so that crazy overclockers can pour liquid directly onto both AIO radiators, maybe some custom setup with the fans removed and liquid just being waterfalled over them.

$600 - $625
It's a refresh so there's a price cut.
It's a big long-term improvement that requires more materials, max binning the chip and more power delivery, so there's a price bump.
$600 versus the MSRP of 5070 Ti (and having 2GB more VRAM) seems reasonable, $625 versus the typical street price is even more reasonable. Video cards are always less price to performance efficient the smaller you go, its just the nature of things.

I went the cheap mobo/ram route this time and I regret it. I cant get stable overclocking on anything. Enabling "automatic" cpu settings in the bios or memory expo profiles leads to constant black screens.

Updated firmware. Tried doing it manually. Tried undervolting. Trried overvolting. Tried freq. Tried every default setting. Nope. Black screens after 10 minutes of gaming.

You can roll the dice and hopefully you have better luck. All I knkw is it was not worth the $100 or so I "saved" by going cheap. First AMD chip btw. Probably the last.

bit an issue to take a photo of my main PC guts since its running rn, has no window on the side and even then the cooler is just black one with no markings and its 80*80mm outside and roughly 75mm fan diameter.

I have been using Xubuntu for stability instead of Arch with a 6 year-old GPU at this point. I looked around for an AMD-only APU laptop, but most of them seem stupidly expensive for what's on offer. If I do some light gaming (7th gen and earlier games, e.g. pre-2014) and am trying to get into hobbyist-level Blender and Krita for painting, should I bite the bullet on the pricier AMD APU laptop or just go with whatever gaming laptop has a nice dGPU in it? you are probably correct, however that is by far, the worst bug i have ever seen a gpu driver do that isnt from a dying gpu, and im a lifelong AMD user.

The worst i ever used to get was instability and lag from youtube playing in the background while gaming, and games(UE4+5 almost exclusively) just crashing at random or full system crashes. Which isnt happening anymore outside of poorly coded and optimised UE games. And i've owned a Radeon VII (random crashes were a permanent feature of the card, but i dont mind in hindsight considering how good it was at mining crypto).

You can't really understate how bad this problem is, its not a handwave away/fanboy seethe scenario, this is a "reasons you may want to rethink buying X product".

>>105755723
>That's just not good enough for what you're paying
wrong, because entry-level ultrawides are barely more expensive than non-ultrawide equivalents. And almost all = 95%. The ONLY exceptions are again, pixel/sprite indie games. And almost every game has UI scaling. And UI scaling issues are more pronounced on 4k monitors by a mile, not 1440p ultrawides.

Yes there is, the final card didn't meet expected performance & efficiency targets because AMD was unable to resolve those hardware bugs.
Do you think AMD intended a fully-enabled Navi 32 to deliver sub-10% performance gain over the 6800XT?
Absolutely not, the chip design didn't deliver the expected performance, and AMD couldn't afford to make changes to it.

old System: 9800x3d, B850 AsRock Steel legend wifi, Corsair CL28 2x16GB, RTX 4080, BeQuiet
Problem: inconsistent boot, literally. CPU and DRAM led light up for 5 secs and then turn off, all fans spin, GPU lights up but no post and black screen. Hold Power and try again and at some point it will randomly boot again.
Things I've already tried:
-Replace nearly the entire fucking system, new ram, new MB, new psu :
new system: same 9800x3d, MSI Tomahawk WiFi Max b850, Kingston fury cl30 2x16gb, nzxt c1200, same RTX 4080
-turn off memory context restore and power down enable in bios
-run ram in stock config and expo
-turn off PBO
-try with and without GPU
-just wait thinking its dram training but still nothing after 15 minutes
-update bios to newest version
-reinstall windows
-try 1 RAM stick with both kits
-unscrew CPU cooler a bit
-try DP and HDMI on monitor and TV respectively

Logic dictates that something is wrong with the CPU but since it still boots sometimes and runs rock solid if it does I'm just confused
