>company required you to install VPN with its own private server for a certain project
>notice that it was turn on while I was jerking off

For some reason, I can't find it in a startup apps menu, I supposed to disable it with a command lines.

Lesson learned. If you value your privacy online—*especially* when the Wi-Fi isn’t yours to command—a VPN is a gamechanger. I recommend NordVPN. Fast, secure, and easy to use, it keeps your browsing your business. Whether you're dodging nosy networks or just want peace of mind, it’s your digital cloak of invisibility.

why would you jack off on your work laptop, you retard?
if you're lucky it's set up to use split tunneling.
VPN aside your company could legally have software to monitor your laptop.
in any case even if someone did notice they probably wouldn't care unless they're trying to get rid of you.

In the land of the free*
In most Euro countries installing spyware on their employees laptops without their explicit informed consent is a crime

I've seen on Teams screenshare for a demo. The guy had a bookmark of some hentai title in his bookmark toolbar. I don't know who would just bookmark one without putting it into some folder at least. There was only title, but people in the know would know. Nevertheless I checked it out later. I think it was one of these PoRO or Suzuki Mirano works where characters always look the same and story is bad. I watched it later and it was trash. That architect had trash taste or got baited into nice looking cover.

I never did that, but I listened to music from another computer, because spying is just too uncomfortable to me. I've just setup a barrier (synergy) on both work and my computer. I've overwritten a route on top of vpn to my computer so I could just share mouse and keyboard between them by barrier. As for the audio I just bought a cheap audio mixer (AU-401 blue - it's trash but possible to adjust the knobs to have no noise). I could also browse things like that and even play games. After some time I upgraded to physical KVM for keyboard and mouse, but it has something like 5/10 sec delay on switch and it's annoying. The barrier was more seamless, but the good instant KVM would be definitely better, because it would have no traces in the system.

Depending on where you are they have to inform you that you're being monitored. If it's not explicitly stated on something you signed they could open themselves up to lawsuits for even bringing up that they saw you use the laptop for something they didn't want you to.

Some states do it, too. Mostly non-red ones.

I'm not jerking off on my work laptop, I'm jerking off on my OWN computer, but I just had the VPN on.

Why are you installing company VPN on your private computer?

WFH doesn't mean you should use your private computer for work, FFS. Didn't they give you a shitty Dell laptop or something?

Lol all VPNs are gimmicks with people thinking their hidden its all owned from Israel companies. Do this, if you own your internet at home, use a vpn you prefer, go on any websites even porn ones, call your isp for a log for the last 24 hours and youll see your really just a flop and realise your not actually hidden.

This should be /thread.

You do not own your work laptop/PC - your company does.
If you do not have an unlocked BIOS, and an OS you installed yourself, consider the machine to be a glowing piece of trash.

>without their explicit informed consent
Wrong.
A laptop bought by a company, for an employee, is the property of the employer.
They can, an absolutely will, install tons of spyware to manage the machine.
Do you have any idea how invasive AD DS really is?
Or how McAfee Enterprise is genuinely the poster child for a spyware program?

I get the sentiment, but for VPN connections it's a bit more complicated than just plugging straight into an rj45 port on premise.
VPN networks are typically DMZ'd to hell, so you can't really start scanning for ports and shit.

I get what you mean but it's a serious security risk allowing VPN access from external devices. I mean, that's not your problem.

My advice to you is to use their shitty Dell laptop and put it in a docking station, connect to your monitor(s) and just use a KVM to switch outputs. It's not that inconvenient and they can't give you shit if there is a security issue and you don't have to be afraid that someone will see you beating your meat to Lazy Town or something.

Do you niggers allow all traffic to go through the VPN?
Jesus, learn how to route!
