In fact, i saw many of them over a decade ago, when they first released. I remember that there was a massive hype for them.
And the i3 was supposed to become a mass produced middle class car. It was BMWs huge entry into the EV market.
You know how many of those i see nowadays on the street? Zero.
You can drive for 5 hours and you will not see a single BMW EV.
They all vanished. In fact, i wonder what happened with the ones from 10 years ago. Did they all break down and got scraped? Usually you would expect them to be now on their second of third owner. But they simply don't exist anymore.
Tesla is older than 10 years and is still relevant, you see them around.
The BMW EVs are younger than Tesla and vanished from the face of the earth. If you wouldn't have brought them up, i wouldn't have remembered them.
