I use KDE plasma reluctantly. GNOME is absolute garbage. I'm incompetent, so I cannot comfortably use something like Hyprland. And without wayland, I'm not having any HDR support anytime soon. Ideally, I'd be back on Cinnamon. I had a happier life with it, but I upgrade my hardware sometimes and like some of the new stuff.
Like with KDE Plasma I have to set my refresh rate lower to avoid bugs that don't happen for instance in GNOME. I don't particularly mind too much, but unlike other DEs, Plasma boasts about functionality, about being the primary thing for gaymers, so there's more of an expectation. That is for me the primary reason to switch to Plasma Wayland, even. If I needed to be cucked out of hardware features, again, I'd use something else.
