Which opinion about technology will get you like this?
I'll start. I actually like KDE and think KDE is great. It doesn't crash.

The vast majority of self-proclaimed rational people pick technologies based on a sense of group belonging, identity, and aesthetic preference. The exact same marketing principles that work on normoids also work on autists.
Hence the reason large companies hire people for "developer relations".

Systemd is great. Yes, it does way more than an init system needs to do, but it's shit that needs doing either way. I much prefer the consistent and well documented systemd environment, especially with the Arch wiki having very detailed tutorials for everything.

I personally don't care, JPG works well enough for me and probably will for another decade or so until HDR shit becomes affordable and I hear that PNG will adopt HDR while being backwards compatible as well. However the merits of AVIF hardware acceleration are pretty substantial for those interested in adopting AVIF and /g/ seems to collectively seethe about this as if it was the antichrist because...

I don't know really.

Windows isn't actually that bad, if you have the same level of competency as the average Linux user, you can make it do just about anything.
Linux is nice, I daily drive it, but I guarantee that every month there's some weird obscure thing that doesn't work as it reasonably should, leading to a couple of hours of tweaking. Bluetooth has been around for fucking years.

On desktop computers with at least 4 CPU cores it's a huge nothingburger but it does matter for anything that runs on a battery. Not necessarily because the CPU is weak but because it improves battery life. That's it really.

Saying anything at all remotely related to the Xlibre drama. Even some topics that technically don't even involve Xlibre get derailed.

Whether you like it or not Xlibre is FOSS and it's existence is justified.

Code formatters and linters are only for retarded non-creative people who don't care about the craft

React and almost every other ja framework is retarder bullshit because it puts html into js and also because it requires a "build" step.

TS is cope for coders who cannot into actual compiled languages.

Vscode popularity is some kind of wrong timeline.

Neovim has 0 advantages over vim.

You'd be fine with a GC language in 90% of cases and you don't need more.

Most code is write-only even if it's written well. So better people write code that werks after 20 years than try to make it le readable.

If you can't work and deliver without LLMs or autocomplete of some sort you are not a real programmer.

Its more of a rant but here goes
99% of twitter fin/tech influencers are huffing their own farts and are actively discouraging young people from getting into IT/finance
From crypto-/nft-cults to echochamber babble they spit out daily that only 1 or 2 of those deranged individuals would understand, these x dot com users have made their entire personality be a fake schizo wannabe with "esoteric" knowledge that makes no sense
And these fucks would find even the most basic college level math intimidating and somehow worthy of a post or a thread even
I especially hate these ML motherfuckers who only think in matrices and their simple algebraic operations are somehow all there is to AI yet on the bright side a lot of them are either inactive or are full-on AI glazing now
Makes me wonder how do you still have your >$100k cushy shitposting job when you don't know whats the difference between a battery and a capacitor, or what's a kernel anti-cheat supposed to do, or how launching a diet-based start-up focused on neural networks being able to magically know what exactly was your food made out of from a fucking crusty ass telegram compressed jpeg
it makes zero sense you should not be posting
Stop posting

JS is fine and is getting better every year. Structure your code, write unit tests, avoid over-using JS when SSR would just werk and you'll be fine. The only reason JS may even get unbearable is when it's used with shitty framework bloat. I'm not saying frameworks are bad, but pretty much every js framework is bad and it's not because of the language, but because of the wrong ideas. No amount of strong typing can fix bad ideas.

Open source "free" software is bad because it is just a bunch of tax evasion/money laundering conspiracies between open source devs and big corporations + bring free and open source means never being able to actually develop realistic competition to big tech. I would argue marketing works even better on autistics than normies, because the entire existence of the autistic revolves around feeding his confirmation biases, and they usually lack the cognitive hardware to make value judgments themselves.

Linux will never have a viable widespread sufficient desktop environment because linux culture is inherently collectivist which by its very ideological nature defeats the cohesive autocratic vision needed to maintain a consistent and inspired user experience. This is not a condemnation; it merely is what it is.
