yeah go ahead and put those in pointless too, thanks. and bump gentoo to the top tier. redhat in the business tier, and make a special snowflake tier for nixos. everything else can stay in pointless.

The actual tiers:

>The beating heart of Linux (in terms of contributions and influence)
Red Hat (Fedora, CentOS Stream, RHEL)
SUSE (Tumbleweed, SLE, Leap)
Debian
Arch
>A somewhat consequential enterprise
Canonical (Ubuntu)
>Honorable mentions
Slackware
Gentoo

Literally everything else is defunct, transient, niche or irrelevant.

yes, kali is debian + 10 tools you can download yourself, used by jeets who think they're hackers exclusively
garuda is manjaro based (even worse) and unironically maintained by jeets

i tried manjaro for a day, isnt it just arch with delayed packages so everything's out of order with the regular AUR packages? and theyre adding shit on top of THAT?

was arch really complicated in the past? because a few months ago i installed it on my laptop and other than the installer being cli and not gui it's fairly straightforward and just werks on the first try with no issues.

>>yes, kali is debian + 10 tools you can download yourself, used by jeets who think they're hackers exclusively
why make a whole ass distro for a few tools just make sure they work on the latest fedora/ubuntu or as flatpaks. that being said i did use kali nethunter on my phone (via termux) just because they have a nice, working install script that makes things easy if you're trying to install a desktop distro on android

before archinstall script was made, it was a bit of a hassle yeah, the script also made shit like manjaro and endeavor obsolete and there's no reason to use them, even biggest dimwits can install arch now
