I need a Blu-ray player with menu navigation buttons on the actual player.
I have a simple need but for some inexplicable reason there are absolutely no results for what I'm looking for. I know I'm not the only person out there looking because I have only found other posts with the same dilemma out there with people giving them the same worthless advice Google spits out.
No, I don't want one that just comes with a remote. Those get lost. No pause/play, skip forward and back and stop will not solve the problem.
I just need a player with arrows keys and a select button to navigate menus for my parents, so they can watch blu-rays.
Currently they have a piece of shit player with the pause/play, skip and stop buttons, but half the time they won't do what they are supposed to and that remote is long gone. Added to that fucking none of these players are compatible with remotes that didn't come with the player, so the remote that controls their TV won't even control their player and likely any other out there.

Does anyone know about a Blu-ray player with actual navigation buttons on it? That's really all I want to get for them.
I have no idea why Blu-ray player manufacturers are so adverse to giving you necessary buttons for operating the device on said device and it's driving me insane.

Just buy a chink phone. They come with IR blaster that could be used as a remote control for everything.

Why not just buy a universal remote? It seems this is a decades old problem that was solved decades ago.

There's hundreds of models of bluray players that work with universal remotes and if you lose your phone then you have bigger problems. You're not getting your buttons and /g/ is not going to make you a custom bluray player.
