This one I learned pretty recently from a relative who works as a doctor, the hospital's app works perfectly fine in a phone, but it makes patients think the doctors are unprofessional, so they all use iPad Minis to make it clear they're actually looking at records (also because the iPad is purely for work, they can hand it over and not risk a personal notification popping up)

Yeah, as I said, I'm a big tablet hater, but I'm not delusional enough to believe there are zero usecases. I will say that I guess the "It can be done on a phone but looks unprofessional" thing would also apply to students, but in that case a laptop is far more useful

I have an old ipad I won in a raffle years ago, I basically only use it for pdfs and ebooks that are inappropriate for an e-ink reader. Like textbook type shit or art books.

Unfortunately it's slow as fuck now, wish I could put some minimal alternate OS on it that removes all the useless shit.
