If you find Starfield uncomfortable, why would you buy it again? Kadenz is no better in the comfort department, arguably even worse. They are heavy cast metal shells, 2-4x heavier than resin or plastic iems. Starfield's paint will also chip and flake off. EPZ P50 if you can order from Aliexpress. Mangird Tea Pro is more widely distributed, has decent sales to get closer to $300. Between the two, Tea Pro has heavier bass emphasis, so if you don't want that, I'd lean towards P50.

Sharing my first-time experience ordering from Jutem:

There's a guy in China who makes custom leather cases for portable sources. Ordered from his Taobao shop, picked my color, and shit took 2 whole months to make and deliver. Paid approx $132 but it might be more expensive if you go through his Gmail.

It's delivered double-box'd so thank goodness, the case is pretty well-protected. Craftsmanship looks pretty legit, the stitching is clean and fits my dap perfectly.

If I had seen corrosion when I opened it up I wouldn't have even posted in the first place. There's no faults to it other than a slightly crimped belt as far as I can tell. Even the battery slot is free of corrosion.

Just got these for 80 eurobux instead of the usual 120. I gotta say, I'm loving them so far. The stock cable feels pretty damn good. The case that comes with the IEMs is a bit on the smaller side for me personally, but still usable. The IEMs come with plenty eartips and are good enough.

As for the sound, I'm really loving the tuning of these. They're warm and definitely have bass, so people were not lying about that, but luckily it's clean and well defined. They have great imaging and solid soundstage. Good instrument separation as well. They're very comfortable too.

They're different enough from my other IEMs that I'm keeping these.

As you can see from replies, there is not one answer. Musicians often are NOT critical listeners or gear hunters. Their role and interest in music is distinctly independent of good hearing and discerning taste. Unfortunately, there are many circles where older legacy models are perpetuated even though they are frankly poor sounding, low quality gear.
Many "industry standards," ingrained in culture for both IEMs and headphones are objectively bad gear (Shure SE215, Sony MDR, Beyer DT770, etc.). It's an unfortunate echo chamber effect.
There are definitely people / musicians who have better hearing, discover better universal Chi-Fi models, and never look back.

Is there a point in getting an audio player instead of a bluetooth dac that I'm currently using with a phone? Besides no longer having to use bluetooth for music, short battery life is the main thing that annoys me, but I don't know if players which are small enough to be convenient for me will be much of an improvement in this regard.
Also how convenient is the smartphone software for integration with a player? Will it be as seamless as using a dac?
