Why doesn't anon trust motherboad vendor from china like colorful? Is it racism?
Anonymous No.105797580 [Report]
They’re fine, and colorful is a well respected brand for other reasons. But they all make motherboards for the Chinese market, and the Chinese market buys the cheapest shit anyone’s ever seen, that’s why most of them are low end specced.
They also tend to cost about the same if not more than motherboards I can buy in the US normally, so why buy a colorful H610 board if an asus H610 board costs the same?

because chinks are weird, why for example bring to market a motherboard with a high end chipset that has horrible VRM cooling?

I really don't get why Chinese manufacturers don't fuck with "Western" manufacturers by finally making motherboards with sensible PCIe lane layouts. Why do modern "consumer" tier motherboards come with what feels like half a x16 slot but 7 NVMe slots no one is ever going to use that you can't even use without disabling something else be that SATA ports or otherwise.

Look at those paltry VRM phases

It's not that I don't trust them, it's that their products are not obtainable here (in the US).

What is thier RMA process?
Waiting 6month for China post to lose your mobo?

They start with a high end chipset that was rejected by QC and then build a cheap motherboard around it that they can flip on aliexpress

There are boards out there
Honestly I think the only reason you don't see Chinese domination in motherboards is weird sanctions and trade policies that make it difficult for new Chinese companies to get high end chipsets.
Intel, AMD can't sell their highest end stuff to China.

Assuming those are at least x8 each that'd be an absolute dream board. And it is fucking possible, look at the ASUS Pro WS X570. x8x8x8 and SATA, NVMe as well as an optional U.2/SATA port. What the fuck is wrong with current gen boards.

That looks like a sub 80 dollar board (in 2015 dollars)

>And it is fucking possible
You have twenty chipset lanes. 8*3 = 24. So no it isn't possible.
Anonymous No.105799862 [Report]
>>105799497
2 slots are CPU lanes at 8x/8x
Other are 4x and 4x
There is also a u.2 port
Not sure of any lane sharing between all the M.2/U.2/chipset slots

Still a decent looking board if you aren't paranoid about the 8x/8x CPU slots

Just wish something like this existed on Z790

I hope this Chinese crap becomes good, I'm tired of Taiwanese monopolies asking an arm and a leg for basic mobos

They are terrible support and documentation. Do you really want to bust out the magnifying glass to search for the 2 pin port, or to find out if it has one?
