but since Ubuntu is based on Debian, it means that:
they share much of the same core system, including the Linux kernel, GNU utilities, and many of the same libraries
they share the same package management system like you said
they have the same filesystem hierarchy
same open source philosophy except Ubuntu includes more proprietary drivers and codecs by default for usability (something any sane Debian desktop user will install as well)
same development tools and languages
almost same software availability since they share the same repos
same init system (systemd)
same security patches
same architecture support
same core system tools aka networkd, netplan, ufw/iptables, cron, systemctl, etc
and I forgot the same default DE (Gnome) except Ubuntu customized it a bit
