I have both a 6850U (6nm) and a 7840U (4nm) ThinkPad, both with 14 inch 400 nit low power screens.
On Windows power saver mode, they have the same idle.
If I downclock the 7840U to match the clocks of the 6850U, then the 7840U has a lower idle.

my home server runs on AMD Ryzen 5 Pro 4650G and the cpu idles at 3.5W
you have to specifically choose a cpu + motherboard combo if you aim for low power consumption. the whole server idles at less than 15W measured at the wall

idk, but i use it as mainly a media server and DNS, and it handles everything without issues including 4K media playback. running smooth with 238 days uptime atm, for a total of 2 years or so
