My niece got her iPhone 16 at the end of December, and ever since, it’s undergone periodic crashes where the screen goes black with a loading symbol for a couple of seconds before returning to the Lock Screen. Apple ran remote diagnostic tests that identified nothing, so I took it to the Genius Bar, where they found no hardware issues. They reset the firmware, which fixed the phone for a few weeks, but now the issue is back. Apple diagnostics now say they’ve identified a stability issue, and i needs to take the phone back to the Genius Bar for service again. I had to pay $30 last time for the firmware reset and expects to pay the same again. I thinks it’s absurd and isn’t sure if the service will actually fix the issue.
